I guess you've never used a 4Ever Products for sale sign system. 4' tall PVC post with metal stake in the ground. 18x24 sign attached to post.
https://www.4everproducts.com/4-lot-marker-vinyl-post-only-no-sign/
Or their swinging sign system, goes in the ground or on the stake...
Don't see why people are bringing in building inspectors and frost lines. Do realtors have to get permits to put up an 18x24 for sale sign? Do for sale signs get subjected to kids on bikes running over them?
The solution I offered is sold for doing precisely what the OP wants to do, and...
Why not just use a 4' post from 4ever products with one of their ground stakes and a cap? No holes to dig. https://www.4everproducts.com/products/accessories/
We've been printing canvas on our 10-color Epson S70670 since we bought it at the introduction. The prints from it are as photo-perfect as you can make and they have no loss of color in that time. Prior to that we used a 6-color Mimaki JV3, and prints from it that we made 13 years ago are still...
Kinter.com is the place. They are a retail display company. They have 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" cable systems, and have several styles of cable loop adjusters. None of theirs use tools to adjust though.
I get a catalog periodically that has all that kind of stuff in it. I've used it doing installs in department stores (that the stuff was all shipped in and we just put up.) Now if only I could remember who sends the catalogs (which I always throw away because I never buy that kind of stuff...)
I've never used the DPF8200. I'd use the 8000 because we stock it and use it regularly for a specific application anyway. Arlon advertises that the 8200 is more conformable.
While you're peeling off that graphic and replacing it, repeat these words 1000 times: "Not everything that goes on a sign or a vehicle is called a wrap."
Wrapping is when you take a large sheet of material and wrap it around something, like a car. You then trim off the excess material, and it...
There are tools in Draw which Designer doesn't do, but since you are not creating content/new designs, you will likely never use them. There are many things Designer has which are totally irrelevant to making signs or vehicle graphics.
Since, by the sound of it, you are primarily creating...
If the surface to which you are applying the sign is a smooth, painted surface, on which the paint is not liable to peeling off, the VHB tape alone is more than enough to securely hold the sign. In most cases, you will destroy the sign trying to pull it off. If the surface is rough, porous, or...
It has been bugging me that I wasn't familiar with Corel Designer, despite having been in the sign industry for 26 years. So I looked at Corel's website to see what it was. They don't make it any more. But I did find this page that explains what it was. It was Micrografx Designer, and Corel...
On your other question, what makes Illustrator better? It isn't necessarily. But it's what the art/design industry has used since it went digital. Corel Draw is more common in the sign industry because it had always been cheaper, and did everything sign makers needed to do (and could do them in...
Corel Draw and Illustrator can create scaled layouts. You create a layout, go to the Layout heading and choose any of the page items, like page layout, page size, etc. Then in the left column select the Rulers heading. You'll find the scale there. Choose 1:20 and you're good to go. Or leave the...
Use a "house brand" vinyl with gray air release adhesive from your favorite sign supply house, and don't laminate. They are temporary campaign signs. The ink will last that long.
