  1. Photo tex ?

Use the Phototex OPA-S. It prints GREAT on the latex. You can seam it with overlaps when you use the opaque version. No need to laminate it, print to the edges, it'll never curl, shrink or stretch. We just did this one a couple weeks ago...
  2. Script ID

Thanks, I had a font called Kuntsler Script that I thought was it at first, but it way different than Kuentsler Script Black.
  3. Script ID

I thought this was one of the Shelleys, but it's not it 100%.
  4. Right time to purchase new machine / inks

No, we have the brand new HP 360. It is quite slow at warming up after idling, especially if you want to change materials. You have to let it wake up, then tell it you want to unload, then go through unloading, removing the roll from the core, putting the new roll on the core, loading, fixing...
  5. Right time to purchase new machine / inks

We run our printers all day every day, so I know how they all perform from my personal experience, so I'll throw my 2 cents in. We run all of our printers through Onyx 11, FWIW. The HP latex can save your butt in a tight situation like same day print needs, so that alone should sway you towards...
  6. Used Epson Ink Cartridges?

Is anyone offering a recycling credit for these Cartridges? Or, anyone local to the Cincinnati area that is interested in a BUNCH of 10-20% ink cartridges for the S60670?
  7. What is this material?

Looks like a Gerber Edge print to me also.
  8. Right time to purchase new machine / inks

Look at all the brands, We have 3 different printers here; Mimaki, Epson & HP Latex. They all print great and all three use different ink types. Buy whichever printer is the best deal/fit for your company. We bought our two new printers at a great discount during special promotional offers.
  9. Largest Flake Metallic Wrap Vinyl?

I'm not sure how it compares to the others as we never do any flake stuff, but there is a laminate that has metallic flakes that you can use over prints. It looks good and holds up well also.
  10. Anyone having trouble with Oracal 751 falling off in a few days?

It might be a certain type of wax that was applied to only those panels? I know there is something that is as bad as armor-all on some new cars that our installers hate; they say they have to take the torch to it to remove it.
  11. gerber odyssey y axis home error

I would take the cover off of the machine and disconnect the Y-axis motor and see if you can get the carriage to move. You may have something bound up, a stuck bearing on a pulley, or something else holding it up. Be careful in there!
  12. Font ID? Sort of Papyrus

If those letters are supposed to be "OOM" , then it is NOT a font. You could probably start with Trajan Pro Bold or something similar and use the Roughen effect in Illustrator or something similar to get close.
  13. Free Stuff For Y'all

Motor Coach Attached is a motor coach I just set up from scratch. It should have a (PVO) freightliner cab on it, but that was not my artwork so I removed it before saving a copy for everyone here. Enjoy! Set up at 10 percent scale.
  14. Onyx tiling Problems on large jobs?

This is a large .TIFF file, but it is just under the size limit for a .TIFF file. (1,988,088 KB) This is a full wrap for a conference room (643.96" x 97.6" at 90 DPI); possibly the largest single image file I have printed. In hindsight I probably should have set each wall up as a separate image...
  15. Onyx tiling Problems on large jobs?

It is being cut off at the print edge "to color" and all of the panels are the same size so it isn't the production department's error. there is just a full 4" (plus overlap) completely missing every other panel. In the RIP when the job is brought back up it shows everything tiled "correctly" still.
  16. what you do when you see this

I usually stop on red. it'd be helpful to have printer/head info to help you out. It looks like you have cross-contamination in your heads. This can be caused by the drain tube or pump being clogged and allowing one color to flow back up into the other head's line while it sits son the capping...
  17. Onyx tiling Problems on large jobs?

Every two panels (columns) there is an entire 4" column just missing in this wall wrap.
  18. Gerber are intro...

There are a lot of us on here. I have a few Edge 1, an Edge 2 and the old Original Edge still running prints almost every day. I also have GS/HS/odyssey plotters. Love our Edges and they make us a lot of money still, even though we have three 63" printers now. They're where we got our start and...
  19. Hp latex 360 printer

All of the newer generation printers are capable of very similar speeds. We have both the Latex 360 and Epson S60670 here and both are screaming fast printers that print whole rolls w/o problems all day every day. The only advantage of the HP is the ability to laminate right off of the printer...
  20. Latex Fog

We only have 8' drop-ceilings in the printer room, but I will try it today.
