  1. *Whew what a day*

My shop was open 10 - 2 today, but a guy wanted a rush order at 1pm for a 3 X 8 yellow banner two colors, text with outline and clipart graphic double sided. I used banner tape to reinforce it. I worked until 5:30 then came home, didn't quite finish it, but it's a tough job working by myself...
  2. Your sign estimating software

I looked at that, and there is no information about downloads or a price anywhere on the website, you have to call them for a demo and prices. So I ignored them.
  3. Do not wet reflective material?

Customer wanted to do as cheap as possible, so I have a 4 X 8 sheet of antique white acrylic sitting around, but he wants reflective regardless, so the two together would be the cheapest I could do. Next would be Omega Signboard which would be a big increase in price.
  4. Your sign estimating software

Sounds great, I looked at it and its a decent price, but I only need 1 license not 2, so emailed them to see if I could just get 1.
  5. Your sign estimating software

Thank you I will check it out.
  6. Your sign estimating software

I see you all make your own, but was hoping someone used pre-made professional sign software that they could recommend. The sign writers price guide says for a 3 X 6 banner two colors I should be charging $200. That seems highly expensive as I normally would do it for about $110.
  7. Your sign estimating software

I posted this in General Software and never got a reply in 36 hours so you can delete that one. What kind of sign estimating software do you use? I've seen prices $249 - >$400. Also some are just a monthly fee of $39. I'd prefer to purchase it and not have a monthly fee, and I don't like the...

  9. Do not wet reflective material?

What about using the Seal It Pen on the edges of the reflective after a wet apply, that will keep the edges from peeling correct?
  10. Will they call back?

Thanks for the tip, and I don't under cut :thumb:
  11. Secret to putting down application paper

I use up to 48" application tape and its really simple to never have a wrinkle. If you like I could make a short like 30 second video of doing a large piece?
  12. Little tip for easier weeding fixes

Yeah that is what I mean, it isn't a deep cut, but visible enough to see and put back on without problems.
  13. Do not wet reflective material?

That is interesting, makes sense for moisture. I guess since people have done it with success, I will apply just a small bit where it won't stick all the way, to allow for one or two adjustments before sticking. How about if I take a heat gun on low setting over it? won't that draw out the...
  14. Will they call back?

That is awesome, I hope I get a corporate account at some point.
  15. Do not wet reflective material?

So you aren't suppose to wet reflective vinyl. Then we should we do? I prefer wet method because I can move it around until it's perfect. Dry method you get one shot, if its messed up, too bad. It really stresses me out to do dry.
  16. Will they call back?

I am cool, just asking if anyone else had any experience in something like this and if the customer did call back or not.
  17. Little tip for easier weeding fixes

How about not insulting me? It's too deep if you damage the cutting strip or cut through the paper. Try this, cut something at 80gf and tell me you can weed it with no problems. You can't because you have to recut it over again. Just saying if you can't see the ghost image at all, increase it...
  18. Little tip for easier weeding fixes

Have you ever started weeding a sign and peel up a letter or rip it and not know where it goes again? Well if you slightly do a stronger cutting force it will leave a cut line around everything you cut, so you can peel off a letter and see the exact ghost of it, making it easy to refit it again...
  19. Will they call back?

I haven't done any work for this guy or company in the past however, I've never advertised in that town except I gave a friend of mine who owns a restaurant over there a couple business cards, I am assuming he talked to his guy and referred me. Luckily I have everything I need to do it.
  20. Will they call back?

I checked the number and it is in fact a mattress company in a neighboring town :thumb: But it sounds like he will pick me when the time comes.
