    i have done both, fly and uhaul back and ship. by far shipping is the easiest and cheapest, but i did lose one printer due to the shipper running a forklift thru the side of it. took me over a year to get settled. if packaged correctly and you don't choose the cheapest shipper, you'll do fine....

    i think you got an ok deal. I don't think i would have went that high. i doubt the ink is 'dried' in the tubes. i have left machines idle for 6 months and recovered them nicely (lines, not heads) $200 OP???, put down the pipe....

    you lost vacuum in the lines. various things can cause this. most likely capping station, but could be damper.
