  1. AbsoLUTEly fried....

I have mentioned a in a couple of other threads that we've been slammed for the past 8 weeks - which is awesome! But it's wrecking my brain. Yesterday I get a call from a buddy who also has for all intents a purposes a 1 man shop. He does quite a bit of graphics installation for a few of the...
  2. Dimensional/V-Carved signage...

I'm wanting to start getting into this side of the business more, however at this time I do not have the resources to purchase a CNC, nor the time to build one. What I'm looking to find are some recommendations regarding the best type of software to use to design this type of work, and then...
  3. Tuesday's Partial

Here's today's partial. Did one last week that I liked, but I really thought this one turned out well. It was also my first knifeless tape install - that stuff is AWESOME.
  4. Today's partial...

Finished this one up this morning. Client was on a tight budget but wanted something that would really stand out. Went clean and simple :peace!:
  5. Restoring an old sign...

OK - got a call today from a lady who is on her city council. Someone came across the sign that was used in the 40's as their town welcome sign. They would like to restore it. Now, i'm always down for a challenge, and I will quote the job as follows: Shop rate * how ever many hours it...
  6. 3m 1080

Do any of you guys know anyone who STOCKS the colors? Fellers and Grimco can get the dark red 10 yard rolls, but it is an approximate 10 day turnaround. Or, if any of YOU have 10 yards of the dark red (non-metalic), and want to sell it to me, HMU :) Thanks.
  7. 8'x8' MDO

Anyone know where I can find this? Need to do a site sign that is final sized at 8'x8' - they are insisting in the specs that it be 1 sheet (this is for a school construction site, and the specs are state issued).
  8. Floor wrap?

OK - a little off the wall, but had a customer ask me about the feasibility of wrapping their entire retail floor space. I've seen some pictures of things like this but what I'm wondering is specifically the type of materials I should be looking into. The floor is currently polished concrete...
  9. 2011 Ford E-250 Template

Doing a supergraphic partial on one of these bad-boys and I don't have a template (extended length). Anyone know where abouts I can track one down? Don't need to buy a whole set. I could make one, but it's cold as a polar bears balls outside, and i don't feel like it... lol.
  10. I feel stupid but...

I can't figure this one out. Looks kind of like Franklin Gothic, but the S sint' right.
  11. Need a Merchant Member...Wide format dye sub

Have an 8'x8' backdrop with 2" pole pockets that I need done on Banner-Soft or some other type of wrinkle resistant fabric. I've always used Indy Imaging in the past but I just about choked at the quote they gave me. Any of our fine merchant members here able to do this type of work?
  12. Canvas profile

Just got in some art canvas that is eco-sol printable. Starting to try to get into a couple of new markets. In any event, does anyone know where I can get a decent profile for this stuff?
  13. How does one survive raising a teenage daughter?

Seriously. How does one do this. In the last month I have been hit with more crap, general hurtfulness, and terrible decision making than I have ever seen before. You love a kid, provide for them, are the one who picks up the pieces every time their worthless, bi-polar, POS mother craps on...
  14. Need a Merchant Member who can....

....direct to substrate print/CNC a project for me. Two pieces, one is 84"x59" finish size, the other is 60"x48" finish size. I'm in Ohio. The CNC is a fairly simple outline job - Bowling pins/ball. I'm in Ohio. I realize that shipping is the enemy
  15. New business card layout...Thoughts?

OK - after much consideration I have decided to follow Gino's (and that of several others) advice and NOT make a change to our logo at this point. I am, however, making some changes to the feel of our marketing materials. Here's the new BC that I've come up with. Looking for feedback...
  16. Corel Vs. Adobe....

OK - I think this has been discussed before, but to be perfectly honest, I don't feel like searching for and reading through old threads - especially as fast as the software changes.... For the past 8 years or so I have pretty much used only Adobe products, with a smattering of RIP software and...
  17. Need a supplier ASAP!

I need to find a wholesale DTG shop for about a 32 shirt order. I normally use a local company, but I'm concerned that they have gone out of business (which is sad, but a hard truth in this economy). If you have the capabilities for this type of job, shoot me a PM with cost per unit and...
  18. OK....After much work....

Allright - I posted a thread a couple weeks back working on our new logo. After quite a few iterations (which I will show below), I think i've come up with something that I actually like. It's a bit retro, which i really dig. Let me know if I'm right and this is functional or if I'm out in left...
  19. Revamp time....

Well, some of you may remember a couple of years ago we re-vamped our logo. It was, if I do say so myself, not a good process. It's one thing to design a logo for a client. You aren't close to it, and you can be objective. Not so much when doing your own. In any event, I'm working on what i...
  20. Steve at SignFonts.com ---- YOU ARE AWESOME!

Just wanted to give a quick shout to to Steve. Not only does he produce some great fonts, but he also provides exceptional customer service. I called him, placed an order (build your own 6 package), and within 30 minutes I had my fonts in hand and installed.
