  1. Google Doodle...High Hurdles

I shot a few hoops yesterday, but I don't dare get started on kayaking...I have way too much work to get done today....what a distraction! JB

  3. Question about finishing BANNERS...

I just got an awesome 4' x 7' digitally printed banner from a MM here on the forum and it looks as though they welded their seams. The edges are razor crisp and the seams are absolutely flat as a board...allowing the banner to roll up without any bunching. And to top it off, the sides are...
  4. Your thoughts on "Branding"

I was reading a few excerpts of The Brand Gap on Amazon.com....wow...I think I'll have to add that one to my library, for sure. JB
  5. Ford Racing Windshield Banner

I opened the above file in Illy....just a few overlaping lines here and there, but otherwise very doable. JB

    Manual placement...using Illustrator.... JB
  7. free grommet plugin

Dot Placement = manual placement of marks on yor print. I think it's pretty much up to your judgement as to where to put them. Typically every two to three feet, depending on the size of the banner. It wouldn't be hard to make some templates of your most common sizes and just import the...
  8. Can I FAX that to you?

Ultimately, my goal is trying to get away from having to manage "one more thing".... JB
  9. Can I FAX that to you?

Never knew something like this existed...might just check into this...just in case. With only one line coming into the office, I'd still have to babysit with it until the fax came through. JB
  10. Can I FAX that to you?

Thermal paper...grrrr...ever notice how the words seems to disappear in just a few months? And don't ever leave them in a hot car. Glad those days are gone....but..... Most cash register receipts are thermal paper nowadays. That's why I photocopy and scan to a .pdf before tucking them...
  11. Can I FAX that to you?

    I can agree on that.
  12. Your thoughts on "Branding"

Thanks, I found them on library inter-loan. JB
  13. Can I FAX that to you?

Who's standing in line to buy a color fax? I guess my biggest gripe here is that most everybody HAS email capabilities, yet they're doing a terribly poor job training their employees how to use such an awesome tool (attaching files, etc...)...just sayin'. JB
  14. Can I FAX that to you?

In reality, it's just another machine to feed, manage and maintain...and curse when it malfunctions. In larger offices, it can even become a bottleneck if there's only one fax and a gazillion people who need to use it. BTW...I've yet to see a fax come through in COLOR! JB
  15. Can I FAX that to you?

Just the reduction in stray papers floating around the office is worth the effort to use email...especially when brief information is required without the need to print. JB
  16. Can I FAX that to you?

Is it just me, or does the rest of the world seem to be terribly slow to embrace tecnhology these days? I still have vendors who want to send me documents (rate cards, information, etc...) via fax because they don't know how to use the scanner and email...and the "person who knows how to use...
  17. Your thoughts on "Branding"

I believe it's an education process, and the story of "who we are and what we do" is usually there...somewhere (sometimes subconsciously). We typically make purchases based on how we've been indoctrinated, or have educated ourselves about a particular product or service. Public perception...
  18. Your thoughts on "Branding"

I just stumbled onto some good info on branding. Here's what I noted from the first few paragraphs: - A logo is not the same thing as your brand (although it does represent your brand). - A brand defines the "DNA" of your company - Branding is "storytelling", and bringing the...
