  1. Need Help VG Core error

I found this in Corel's forum: Do you have (A) "Print only current page by default" enabled in Options > Global > Printing, or (B) enabled "Current page" in the print dialog and saved the setting as the new default print style? You may get this error message if either of these is true.
  2. Installing a sandblasted redwood sign on stacked stone

Back to how to mount the sign... Black painted steel square tube mounted floor to ceiling, two of them, welded to a floor plate and ceiling plate. Bolts straight through the sign to the steel if industrial look is desired; otherwise hidden studs.
  3. Opinion I'm not sure what to do..........................

I think you're supposed to drop your prices to the wholesale price. We had a guy here whose dad from the big city set him up with a shipping shop that has mailboxes for rent. Except it's not a franchise. I first had contact with him when he couldn't install vinyl he'd bought online on his front...

  9. CorelDRAW 2018 - Thoughts?

If you didn't get X8, another thing you'd be getting in "2018" that you don't have is perspective and barrel/pincushion correction tools added to the "straighten image" tool in PhotoPaint (accessible directly in Draw for bitmaps). That is a very easy, quick, and useful tool.
  10. First time buyer questions - looking at Epson S60600/S80600

I didn't answer your question about neon colors and profiling. First, it is impossible to print neon colors/fluorescent colors without a fuorescent or neon ink. However, when it comes to printing bright colors, ones that might fool the viewer into thinking they are looking at a fluorescent ink...
  11. First time buyer questions - looking at Epson S60600/S80600

I've had a Mimaki (older generation) and currently use an S70670 with the 10 ink setup. The colors we can hit with the S70 have a much wider range than our 4 color Mimaki did, but I believe Mimaki has expanded gamut inks now too. We have produced wallpaper with our S70 and have not experienced...
  12. Corel x19 delete outside objects after powerclip

Best would be to stop using splatter graphics! I am so sick of them and feel like their time is gone. But one thing you could do is export the powerclip as an eps, then when you import it, it will no longer be a powerclip, but a group of the objects with the inside graphics all trimmed off. If...
  13. Need Help Translucent Printing on Mutoh Arlon 6500

This^^ Although double printing does make the sign light better, it then looks off during the day. Printing on clear and then mounting your transulcent print over it in registration makes it so the white vinyl is between the two layers of color. Then you get a perfect-appearing sign during the...
  14. Ground sign kit similar to this one?

I think it's galvanized fence posts with the wood pieces cut/holesawed to fit over. Figure out a fastening system and it could actually be a banner in there, with the weight of the bottom board holding it tight.
  15. Need Help Exporting CorelDrawX6 files to CAD

They have a full version 15 day free trial on their website. Might be worth trying it out to see if it solves that problem for you.
  16. Need Help Exporting CorelDrawX6 files to CAD

If it's something you have to do often, might be worth the upgrade to Corel 2017.
  17. Mr Roomba Taking a Break

We have that exact chair model at our front desk... No Roomba though. And no smoking in our building.
  18. Need Help Exporting CorelDrawX6 files to CAD

What version of Corel? I remember in the past it used to do that. It was called polylines, I think. Even if you reimported the dxf file back into Corel Draw you would find the curves made up of line segments. I just checked it with Corel Draw 2017, and it did not create polylines from the curves.
  19. Graphtec ce6000 died

If you're going to buy a Graphtec, don't get the CE series if you want a reliable, heavy duty plotter. Get the FC series.
  20. Fluo yellow

When my customers ask for fluorescent yellow, what they are really wanting is a yellow that is slightly tinged with green. You need to explain to them that you cannot print an actual fluorescent color with regular CMYK inks, and there are no digital printers which carry actual fluorescent inks...
