I'm with gg- we use it more all the time for more and more things- scan to
copy - quick scan to add a jpeg to a graphics file - getting rid of our fax
machine - finding invoices and on and on. ScanSnap by the way.
The local PD (actually the public works dept that has to get the squads
set up for them) say that it costs $500 to have the white painted on a
black car- and then they get less money when they sell. So pure economics.
I have cut various materials with my miter saw with good results- I would
think banner material would be easy- I always flash off the stray fibers
on the ends of rolls with a propane torch in any case. Banner material is
cheap- go for it, Bob.
I am having a strange problem where I get what looks like fisheyes in
some colors- always reds and some greens but not in yellow or black or
most other colors. I have tried 4 different rolls and types of media. Changed
filters (bulk ink system on VP540), captops, wipers and I have dampers...
My sweetie was hearing crows screeching Sat morning and investigated-
found an eagle in the tree closest to our house with crows harassing him.
He was there all day- the crows would come and go. Finally after 6-8 hours

We started with a SP-300 and it is a great printer- we had trouble mostly
with the encoder strip and its reader. We then bought a VP-540 and it has
been bulletproof for 4 years. We print a lot for a sign shop (I think) and do
