  1. Rip Error and Job Defaults

Hey Denis, That's strange. Is there a rip error #? It sounds like Flexi isn't recognizing the drivers. Did you reboot after the install?
  2. Adobe Photoshop Question

Try this in Flexi if you have a recent version. Select your image & go to Bitmap> make transparent>set your tolerance & click inside the white area you want transparent and your done. Very :cool1: feature.
  3. please help the newbie choose a plotter

Any entry plotter will work. I wouldn't be concerned about the down force unless you are cutting sandblast mask. Buy the cheap one and spend the extra money on sign related publications. Educating yourself on design, layout, proper material usage, pricing, etc. etc. is the best advise you can get.
  4. Is the sheeter worth the money?

Forget the laminate, It's not made for that. But as a application tape tool it's a great product and well worth the money.
  5. Font that looks like signature?

Look at Sofia Script or Stanford Script. Letterhead fonts.
  6. Plugins?/Eyecandy&Flexipro 7.5v5?

Yes you can access PS 7 Plugins. Adding custom fills & textures to your Flexi color palette is simple. Just select the color or bitmap texture you would like to add and go to > View > color > Define pattern. It will automatically appear in color swatches. Don't forget to save the the...
  7. Flexi - Optimize Cutting Order

When set to 10. It keeps the cutting to 10 inch increments. Changing it to a higher number will just make the material roll forward and back more during cutting. Less efficient.
  8. my new Mimaki equip arrived the other day!!!

Looks great Doug. Are you planning on starting w/ the solvent inks or the ms2 mild solvet?
  9. Serrated cut lines?

I figured rotation would be locked with the power off. I'll give it a try Monday morning. Thanks for the feedback.
  10. Serrated cut lines?

The blade is always up until a file is sent to the plotter. I don't think it's possible to lower the blade manually and slew the material on a HS15plus. Is this possible w/ the Envision? The blade appears to sit dead on straight the same direction as the sprockets.
  11. Serrated cut lines?

Besides changing the blades, The first thing I did was clean all the rails, sprockets, etc. I lubed everything with a light lubricating spray including the tool head. "Not wd40" The Teflon washer is on the tool holder. The only thing I didn't try was a drop of oil instead of the lighter spray...
  12. Serrated cut lines?

Possibly the tool holder? The blades are definitely seated correctly. I have a blade in it now that is working a little better for some odd reason. All the blades I tried were new Gerber blades.
  13. Serrated cut lines?

I opened the top of the tool carriage and the belt looks fine. All the teeth are there and don't appear to be worn.
  14. Serrated cut lines?

I am experiencing fine serrated cut lines even on simple shapes. Gerber HS15plus. I tried a couple new blades and it is still happening. Anyone experience this before?
  15. out of lurking:)

    Hey Becky. :cool1:
  16. Gerber Rain is Pouring

I recently had a similar problem. Printing stopped in the same spot on multiple attempts. It ended up being file related. I was very surprised because it was a pretty simple 3 color vector print. Have you tried a different file?
  17. It's FINALLY here!

    :cool1: Good Luck! :cool1:
  18. Output not what expected

Check your material size in P. Mgr. Sounds like your "material length" is not set properly.
  19. Flexi Pro Rip error with big files

Does it show an error code/ number? Sounds like a memory issue. How much ram do you have and how large is the file? When ripping the file in P. Mgr. look at the bottom left of the window. It will show how much ram you have & how much free ram is available as it rips. Do you have any masks...
