If a font doesn't trace well, then neither does the graphic itself right? Fonts are nothing more than a shape according to the trace software. I guess it has to do with your frame of reference. It did a poor job on simple shapes as well.

I think WinXP is picky about fonts too. Some free fonts don't load properly - especially postscript. The same fonts work fine on win98 machines but not on xp

I think it's because it caused so many postscript imagesetters, printers to choke. Not choke/spread but choke as in output courier text. I took something to Kinko's once and their ps laser would not print anything on my page using MM fonts. I replaced them with regular ps fonts and everything...

I'm not too impressed with the software. When I check their website, the screencapture shown on one of the pages shows the curves of the lettering to be made up of straight lines. My customer's wouldn't be too happy with that and I would not want to spend the time cleaning that up.

It appears fontpage only id's fonts that are already on your system, not helpful for finding a font you don't already own. Am I correct?
