hello to all - I've been around quite a bit and recognize quite a few members here from Letterheads & Letterville. some of you, I have met personally along the way.
I ducked into retirement a few years ago. but still have the itch to piddle every now and again.
and now this Covid thing has me...
I have done bunches and bunches of just this type of signage.
I put many stainless large head screws right through the face
of the sign, cover with exterior latex caulk, and touch up the paint.
and hope for the best. if someone wants it, they will get it. period.
I have never had one broken...
60" diameter by 1.5" HDU back with handcrafted HDU elements
glued on with epoxy. Painted with 1-Shot enamel.
Outside white nylon rope was primed and painted with latex paint
and held in place in a 3/4" deep groove with 3" stainless screws.
Shield is 3 sheets of 1/4" HDU laminated with epoxy in the curved form.
Horse head, swords and cactus are hand carved HDU.
Ribbon is 1/8" heat formed PVC.
"ALLONS" lettering is individual PVC glued to the ribbon and gilded.

cobalt smalts top left and black smalts bottom right.
1/8" thick PVC heat formed ribbon that was gilded.
it is abou 36" tall.
