This looks very familiar to the issue I've had with my Roland RF. Technician diagnosed that it was a bad print head. He snapped a photo of the head close up and it must have struck something at one point.
This happens to us often as well. Usually when we neglect to do a weekly manual cleaning. Around the heads, dampers and wipers and it always clears it up. Whether it's from hair lint static or whatever, cleaning seems to do the trick.
Just built our new shop and one of things I wanted to go along with our larger garage bay was an easy to use pressure washer so we bought an electric pressure washer connected to hot water. Not sure if the hot water will do any damage to it in the long run but It's been amazing being able to do...
Hi, Hmm I can't seem to remember what I had posted for this issue. This must have been quite some time ago. If we were using the XR 640 as a cutter, we no longer use it. We have a graphtec that we use as our main cutting machine. Sorry
I currently own (fully paid) 1 Roland RF 640 Versa Express which was purchased about 4 years ago and a Roland XR 640 which was purchased about 7 or 8 years ago.
As of now, the print head on the RF is not good. It prints ok but needs to be replaced so this printer is for the most part taking up...
The wrap institute has some new videos if you're a member. I just finished wrapping a truck with a roll. A few things...

I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to at all but anyway...I saw think tank and in reminded me of an idea that has been popping into my head over the last 5 years or so.
As a small business owner with few employees and a desire to grow my business but still keep it organized and...
For the Most part this would be my workflow, probably for most as well. Is FileMaker worth just jumping into to test the waters or is it worth it to pay someone knowledgeable to tailor it to our needs?
Filemaker seems very interesting to say the least. However, I've watched some of the basic instructional videos just to try to figure out what it's all about and how it could be incorporated into my business overall and I feel like I'm in a calculus class and I can't follow basic math well. I'm...
Thanks for all of the input! My production crew is working on concrete now with comfort pads at all of the tables and other stations but it's not enough. They'll revolt if I don't give them a full comfortable floor in their area. Lol.
We have a new shop currently under construction, 1,824 sq. ft total. 988 garage space and 836 production/office area. There is a large opening between the 2 spaces so it's mostly open concept. I plan to concrete polish and seal the garage floor for ease of cleaning and nice look. What...
Texting has been very useful in a lot of ways. I've made more mistakes and mix-ups with phone calls and in some cases, especially when my hands are tied, I ask that they also email or text what we've discussed on the phone. There's just no visual information and then we end up with the "I...
I like this approach, however, how do you know minute by minute how long something is going to take? There are plenty of things we do everyday that could take 5 minutes or an hour depending on the circumstances. For instance, digging a hole for a sign post. Simple task but many factors are...
Unfortunately, the current graphics are vinyl otherwise I would definitely do this. Not sure it would be a good idea to go on top of them. Thanks though!
I did some checking but couldn't quickly find anything on this topic yet so sorry if this has been discussed.
I have a customer who want to replace the rally stripes on their 2015 chevy camaro, hood, trunk and spoiler. The current ones are too dark and they want to go lighter. They are in great...
On a bid this size and because removal is always an unknown factor (material used/how long it's been on), I would request to test removing a portion to see what you're getting into before quoting. I don't think it's that much to ask. I hate blindly bidding on something and regretting my decision...
Thanks for the info. Price really isn't an issue. I just don't want to replace or see any failures for a LONG time. We had issues with cast avery and I'm currently cleaning up that mess.
