I dont think you can go wrong with a heat press. I got one have had a lot of fun with it. Make sure you dont try to compete with screen printing on larger orders, it is a completly different process. Any order that is more than 15 i screen print, but for the smaller orders i heat press...

  5. American Pickers

I like the show too, especially when they got some old signs on there. I dont like how they sometimes show what they THINK they will make on it, but still a good show. Pawn stars has them beat in my opinion, thats a great show. hell most of the history chanels stuff is good, except that late...
  6. Starting out

It depends on the job to me. If some one comes in just asking for two 24" simple cut decals that they will install i charge $40.00 Which is my minumum for that kind of thing, I dont know what the sq.ft. price would be for that, but i know that is the least i wanna charge for any job no matter...
  7. Another MDO sign question

I like to use the T moulding on most my MDO signs. If its a temp sign I might just run the router over the edge to round the edges, fill and paint it up. But the T moulding gets to be pretty easy and isnt that expensive. Groove it, prime it then put a bead of caulk on the edge before applying...

  13. What is the stupidest thing you did at the shop?

Done that one too, except to dibond. At least it peeled off easily. The other day i printed up 40 directional d/s coro signs with the arrows pointing opposite ways. That one made me mad, cause i didnt notice till the customer was looking them over. I hung one in my shop for a reminder.
  14. Gym Record Board

I would make the seperation lines thinner. They look like they are the same thickness as the text and it makes it hard to read. I think doing this would help the overall layout.
  15. SignGold vs. Vinyl efx Gold

Signgold all the way. Those PVC films can be a pain to work with and doesnt look as good.
  16. Future of this industry?

I agree with the digital age. Signs and advertising will just become more digital. Cars and trucks will have some sort of LED removable holographic on the doors, stuff like that. I cannot see signs and advertising decreasing at all, it will only become larger as it seems more and more people...
  17. Designing a sandblasted sign...

  18. Designing a sandblasted sign...

Sandblasted Signs can be alot of fun. When designing them you need to make sure not to cram in information, evenly space things out, alittle more than normal. Let the backround show, The background has tecture to it and if you cover it with a bunch or raised text and graphics, then whats the...
