You didn't mention if you checked the IP Address of the printer. It might still be set to the previous owners address. I know when I set my IP address it when back to the old IP, it took me a half hour to figure out what had happened. Hasn't done it since. That would explain your connection...

Graphtec 5000. I just bought one, I also have the ce3000 (the previous version) its about 5 years old and never needed any repairs to it. It is a real workhorse.

Thanks Bly, that was the problem. For some reason when I plugged it back in it went back to its old IP Address. Goes to show you the simplest solution is often the right one.
