Nope, I meant what I said, and said what I meant, it's a de-humidifier, 100%. It was on the advise of our Roland tech, and I thought it was an odd suggestion, but it really did fix the issue for us.
I'm tending to think static might be the issue. I've been having issues with my Roland the last few weeks. Nozzles were firing but magenta was getting into the yellow. Even after medium and powerful cleanings the yellow was orange. And I'm getting little static zaps from metal items around the...
My sp300 has been in my basement shop for the last 7 years. There isn't any smell upstairs in our living quarters. Wiping substrates down with wax 'n' grease remover smells a thousand times worse than the printer does. It smells more when I use 1Shot on a sign than when I print one.
That is really cool. I particularly like the way you softened some of the parts of the design. I'm guessing you just removed some masking partway through the process. I just bought a used 210 cfm compressor to replace the electric one we've used for the last 15 years. I've only got one of those...
I did handlettering professionally for 20+ years and all that time I continued to struggle with striping. Long thin straight lines and nice tight scrolls with a sword striper or a dagger brush always looked less than pro to me. Then about in '95 I was at John Hannukaines place in Washington for...
Sometimes when I do drop-shadowed text over a jpg image I select the shadow effect and the jpg and then 'convert to bitmap', merging both elements into one raster element, leavin' the vector stuff on top.
I have an old manual for "Cadlink+ for Windows". It says you need a minimum of a 386 with 2megs of ram and a 20 MB harddrive running windows ver3. Somewhere in the dungeon I'm sure we have a manual for an even older version because I remember we started out with a dos version of Thermazone...
This summer I did a bunch of 2'x3' prints on 631 to go over top of existing prints on a dozen "A board" signs. They were full coverage and they went over full coverage unlaminated prints. They spent about 5 weeks out in the weather and then the prints were removed without any problems.
Do you...
Thanks for the info Joe. We have been using Oraguard 290 cast lam on just about everything. I have put cast vinyls overtop on jobs in the past, but was never sure if it was gonna go the distance. Again, that truck looks so sharp!
That truly is a beautiful truck job. Much nicer than any shop vehicle I've seen for quite a while. Is the silver metalic just cut vinyl on top of the print? If so , does it go under the laminate on the printed vinyl first, or just on top? I've never been sure if it's okay to put vinyl on top of...
