  1. Vehicle Templates - Any New Alternatives?

Has anyone photographing vehicles for layout use tried running the camera/lens correction profiles in Photoshop or Lightroom. I wonder if it increases dimensional accuracy.
  2. Fabric Recommendations - HP L25500

    What widths do you have?
  3. Laminator reviews.

  4. Gator Foam.. whats like it?

Test it first. We have used gatorboard for 25 years, had some ultraboard delivered ("it's the same") and the mounting failed to adhere.
  5. New Latex 7 Mil Gloss Photo Paper is in 60" now!

Good news. I'll place an order once we move to our new shop.
  6. HP L25500 & Onyx x10 problems

We are still waiting for that upgrade as well. Our workaround has been to limit the amount of material taken up to 25 yards or so on the heavy canvas we run.
  7. Times are tough, or are they?

Sales are double last years (which was a bad 1/2 year) so we are back to normal. Trying to move to our new facility, twice the size, and are in the 10th week of permit approvals for AC upgrade and electrical. Real headaches for no apparent reasons.
  8. Anyone Here Sell

Try MacPaper. They carry the General Formulations line.

AGL is your best bet. Last laminator you'll need to purchase.

Try making compound paths out of the outlined letters in AI prior to cutting.
  11. Apple, what a fad....

Like most companies products, the quality varies according to the item. I've had Mac's and PC's since 1984, and own both now. I love my MacPro, have had it for almost 3 years. Only 1 minor issue which Apple's excellent tech support fixed by phone support in a few minutes.(If support is busy...
  12. Life size cut out stands

Creative Banner sells some stands just for this purpose. They can have sandbags put on the bottom brace for stability. Just used them on a job, they seemed to work well. About $15 each.
  13. HP Designjet L25500 drying problems

We have seen this when too much ink has been put down. IT often happens when printing bidirectionally. Fix is to slow it down, cut the ink back, and print unidirectionally. Those prints with the oily surface can be easily salvage. Use a heat gun at low temp to dry them off. We recently did...
  14. Very Old Laminator.. Anyone ever seen before?

It may be an old CODA brand machine.

  16. Mesh Banner Material?

Curious to know how well the adhesive dots work. Do they need to be applied to the whole image surface to be effective? They seem to come in narrow width rolls.
  17. HELP! Something tougher than MESH!

Maybe try the HDPE material. Pretty tough stuff. I'd think 2 sides joined would be better.
  18. What Should i get?

Unless you need the color gamut of the Epson, the Latex will probably be more cost efficient to run. I say probably because it's a somewhat new machine, and has been in the market for less than a year. That said, it's built on some pretty well known technologies, and the HP aqueous printers...
  19. Printing GRAYSCALE...

You need to linearize your printer as a first step. You can then go on to implement a color managed workflow that will allow you to consistently print graphics with neutrals and colors without fooling around. Start by talking with your dealer. If he doesn't have the ability to help you, get...
  20. Spinning Sign

Not sure what they saw, but we get three sided spinners from FFR in Chicago.
