Sometimes yes, I know what they are trying to do, they want to start updating little by little and getting this up there isn't a permanent fix for them, it's just something up for the time being..

I know. but all I'm doing is providing the patterns - it's up to them how they want to prep and paint, I've informed them, it's outta my hands at a certain point
The mask I told them pry wouldnt stick because of how hold and flaky the paint is already up there.. They dont care - and they do want to take the cheap way out.. I am not painting just providing patterns..

Our local racetrack whats to paint the back of one of there grandstands.. i suggested wrapping and framing with a banner or lots of substrates, but they are dead set on painting there logo on there.. I told them them that it might not work that well etc. etc. So if you were to apply paint mask...
I talked to Justin Pate St the NBM show in Indy today and he told me to always use 3M 480 series lam for deep recesses and channels... 180 and 8518 will always want to pop.. He also said to use Avery 1460 opposed to 1360 lam for Avery in deep channels.. He said it's mainly about the laminate...
I do perf cut all the time and at around 250 3" x 3" at a time. I even perf cut 22" circles
i use a 45degree blade and I use the same blade and holder for cutting regular vinyl. No adjustments except the tool condition setting

Get a Mimaki Vinyl cutter I have their lower cost machine in the CG series and do perfcut/diecut all the time with it - Graphtec's can do the same..No need for a flatbed cutter unless its magnetic or the really thick reflective - I don't use that so I'm not sure what it's called

No matter how long the print is - I hand roll it and put it on my hangar bar - I tap the end of the roll so it is all straight first.. Just in my experiecne when I have it tensioned and taped to a roll holder it moves or its not completely rolled straight it will pull sideways and get creases...

I have always hated laminating - I can get the tension setup good but I would always "F"UP when actually laminating.. Then I got a trick that works for me
1.) Put laminate on roll holder
2.) Put empty core on takeup holder
3.) load laminate how your machine should be and tape laminate to empty...

i love installing with 1005ears lays down beautifully and bubble wrinkles come out so easy on the stuff - it does seem thinner at least to me than 3M.
You can pull the backing off and get it into position just fine but it sticks rather good after you put some pressure on it. but your still able...
