I am really hoping for some feed back here. Has no one had to have their printhead replaced lately?

What is Gerber charging now to replace the printhead in a Edge 1 now? I just had the second pixle blow up in the middle of the print area. I have had one blown for about a year but it was right at the bottom edge and I could work around it. About 5 years ago it was $1800 plus freight.

Just buy a roll off 1/4" stripe tape. You will be TIME and money ahead. A 150' roll should be less than $15.00.

Thanks Fred. I am actually on my forth blade carrier. I did get the cutting strip tray really clean before putting the new strip in. I will try the oiling trick. Do you know what a factory overhaul cost?

welcome from Minden, LA. Wannabe you can get a lot of valuable info. here that can help you with your new venture. I too started with a brush and bought my first "4b" in 1988. I've been cutting and sometimes still painting ever since. Good Luck!

Your old files will open with a newer version of gerber. You can't open a file created in a newer Omega version in an old program.
