  1. SummaCut D75 Contour cuts are off .

Did you try cutting the same print without the laminate like he suggested? Will tell you if it's a tracking problem or something to do with the software/barcode.
  2. Rant Customer wants to see $1M proof of insurance for $48 banner

Doesn't make any sense and definitely don't sign anything. It's a banner. It's not structural so if it fails, so what? Exactly what are you liable for? What type of damages could it cause especially when your not installing it?
  3. What kind of vinyl this could be?

35C is a permanent adhesive. The longer it's on the vehicle the harder it will be to remove.
  4. Need Help Need help with Rolls Roller Flatbed application

We have the Kala and it just has 3 pressure settings, 1,2 and 3. Laminate is applied at the highest pressure settings (3) for the Kala. You will get silvering which will go away eventually but shouldn't be getting bubbles.
  5. New Zealand

It's just plain dumb to try to compare the United States to New Zealand, a small island no matter what metric you want to compare. Due to it's size, New Zealand can easily shut down it's borders and the people will most likely unite to do what they can to keep it out of their tiny island. You...
  6. Floor Clear Coat and Laminate

I have a customer that wants their logo applied to the floor (indoors) and then they will apply a clear coat over the graphic. Would a laminate still be needed? Would hate to have some type of laminate failure that causes issues with the clear coat.
  7. Need Help New to sign making and need lots of advice!

He would need quite a bit of space just for the printer and cutter as well as storage space for all the 4 x 8 sheets he would need to buy so he must have a lot of spare room.
  8. Not Cutting completely - Random Cuts Lighters

On my Summa, this happens whenever the nosepiece gets crap caught up on it. Make sure it's nice and clean.
  9. Onyx issue with Windows 10 2004

Thanks for the post! My windows has not updated to 2004 yet but this post probably saved me some headaches once it does update.
  10. Pontoon Boats

Not up here in Michigan. They used to only be at the cottages on the inland lakes. Now they are on the big lakes with tri-toons that can easily handle the chop. I boat on Lake St. Clair and I hardly ever saw a pontoon boat 8 years ago. Now they are everywhere and no longer look ugly. Very...
  11. Extra S class 2 pinch rollers

What part number does it list? I talked with Airmark and the part number I listed was for extra pinch wheel assemblies for the tangential S2 cutters.
  12. Extra S class 2 pinch rollers

You want additional pinch roller assemblies or just replacement rollers? I'm currently looking for the whole assemblies and it shows part number 395-426 for my Summa S2 series, $350
  13. Business Management - 6/16/2020 - open discussion

Hmmm. Seems like my employees schedules are walk in door, punch in, go to bathroom and take 15 minute crap.
  14. Yard signs with pantone colors

Yes we have a nutty governor here in Michigan. Finally starting to open things up. Monday the 8th the stay at home mandate is being removed for most businesses so I'm bringing back all my employees Monday. Hopefully they will be doing the same thing.
  15. Rant What is going on with FedEx?

No. Here in Michigan the stay at home order was extended to June 12. Our governor has gone off the rails. She is allowing some businesses to open up but restaurants, bars, salons, etc. all still closed and people still supposed to stay at home.
  16. Did you file for PPP?

Because the governor has a stay at home directive except for critical employees required to complete essential work. My designer can work from home and I'm the only one coming into work except for one other person on call if I need him to complete jobs. I'm not going to have them come into work...
  17. Did you file for PPP?

But it will be interesting to see if your sales don't decline during the period if it will still be turned into a grant. I'm paying my employees to sit at home but if your employees are still working and generating the same amount of sales than it definitely shouldn't be turned into a grant.
  18. Did you file for PPP?

I'm not so sure it would open them to a lawsuit. The PPP is a loan that can possibly be turned into a grant. It doesn't automatically get turned into a grant. You have to show the bank your financials and how you used the money at the end of the term. If not used for the appropriate items than...
  19. De-Lamination issue: HP Latex 360, Premium Photo Paper, and hot lam

We have the same issue. Wasn't a problem with the 260 but with the 360, the only thing we encapsulate is the HP poster paper or an uncoated paper. I assumed it was due to the optimizer and the photo papers..
  20. Art fees set up fees fees fees

So it's the same price whether or not they give you a print ready file or if you have to spend a half hour working on a layout?
