When needed, I print on 24" IJM838, laminate then cut on a Graphtec CE6000-60. It's doable, looks fine, but I have better things to do with my life than push this! Things could be improved with a take roll on the 8400, and a laminator that does roll to roll.

Picture an AutoCadkesque corportation offering a subscription model to municipalities, to help them digitise their planning records for all (sign) permits. Chuck an AI at it and you've got the engineers out of business... Get it to check the graphics, the social media responses, the portfolios...

Just re-read OP, this is an SC400 pro-sumer photoprinter. Profile it right, then cross render to a regular production machine, and sure, it'd do the job for proofing (suitable CM SW required to do the job). Print it on Epson Premium Photo Gloss, using all the available colours in the design...

It does have a 300micron skin, and is way more pliant, but sign making DiBond is not for skinning buildings. They do a VERY different version for that. Grenfell.

Have you called any of them? Most of my suppliers for DiBond have a list price, but when I speak to someone in sales, 10 sheets drops from £160/sheet for 1250x2500 to £70/sheet (at least, last month, so probably £85 this week). And then that price is there for online orders.

That said, aqueous is the wrong technolgy for this purpose. I'm in a wierd edge scenario - 90% of my clients are galleries, artists and photographers. The exterior pieces I make are usually short term, and as an addition to/for the art clients. But some of the work goes up, and five years later...
