I wrapped three of my newer appliances at home white (I know, crazy to wrap something white and I'm guessing you wouldn't be interested in photos) to match the existing appliances as the new ones were stainless steel and hey, why not, I'm in the biz. But I'm guessing the retail cost to wrap...
What you are describing is not only a design problem, but a business problem. As an owner of a small business with one FT designer and one PT, I'm a stickler for file organization. Not being a designer, I have a basic rule and that's that I or a production person should be able to make simple...
I occasionally have indignant would-be customers that say 'so and so down the street did it for a friend' My reply is that I guess so and so has no problem breaking the law. Even had a guy offer to pay me $1000 to illegally reproduce Ford Raptor decals. We're a creative business and I can't...
Have you used walk and wall at ground level on painted block wall? Wondering how it holds up as I've been seeing several failed installations from competitors where the vinyl is torn at mortar joints that have been bridged instead of conformed to joint - in fact I'm being asked to bid...
We'll sometimes use white printable vinyl for lettering (such as a hi-tack for plastic job in-house currently) and will laminate that. Hadn't thought about it, but Billct2 brings up a good point on laminating specialty vinyls.
Actually, the response in Washington has been uncharacteristically proactive and effective so far. Hopefully, we're not so caught up in our biases that we can't work together to solve a problem that potentially affects everyone. 14 of the US cases were a result of the Japanese govt. on-board...
Was blissfully unaware of the lack of 'love' for Fellers on this site. I get great service from Fellers and don't really care one way or the other how many divorces Frank has had. Work with a great rep and like the product lineup.
But honestly, if FF wants to Earl Scheib the colorchange...
We have the exact same combo of equipment/RIP but don't experience those issues. Running Flexi 12 though, not 19. One thing we learned early on is when you set contour cutlines in Flexi, it remembers the contour cut offset from the previous time you did so and applies that to the new job. You...
She hasn't stopped talking about it (and all the things we should be doing differently). The class sponsored by Avery was geared towards people with some installation experience. They also have more advanced classes. She said the people having the most difficulty were the ones who were more...
One of my installers just returned from Justin Pate's wrap class this week. Apparently he was pretty adamant about working around obstacles on commercial wraps since the customer expectation is lower than on a color change wrap and his techniques always include methods to employ if it's a...
Yep - +1 on the Avery which is good on windows, temp fleet, and some walls. Great removal and decent hiding opacity, also available without air egress (no EZ in product #)
We occasionally use those propane heaters when working on trailers, usually in customer unheated warehouse - never thought of using a detector, but maybe not a bad idea to have one plugged in nearby.
If a cut vinyl then you'll use paper medium tack transfer tape. After you wet apply, soak tape with your solution and leave it sit for a few minutes, which will make tape easier to remove leaving cut elements on the glass.
