Got a rockhopper 38 (falcon outdoor jr) that for some strange reason on files i've run dozens of times over the past year has suddenly muted all the colors. Running the same jobs with the same profiles on the same material i've always run them on.. any thoughts on what might have changed...
This place could be good but it seems it's just LOADED with keyboard commandos that look for any reason no matter how small to blast people. They say things they'd never in a million years say to someone in person. If everyone thinks this is GOOD for the forum long term i'm sad about that...
So, who are you to judge what is 'reasonable' and why should ANYONE new to this forum that you run be trashed if not provoked? Everyone learns a different way, some like to ask questions and get interactive answers from people already in the business, some head to the library and don't come out...
Seems my falcon has developed a banding issue that I can't resolve.
Printing a file i've printed dozens of times before using the same settings/profiles on the same brand material (even the same roll has had this printed several times with no issue) suddenly white banding has shown up that I...
I can't believe some of you people are serious with your replies here. Are you remotely seriously scared that a housewife looking to make a few extra bucks in her basement to pay for her kids hockey equipment is going to threaten you in any way as a sign company? This silly mentality is going...
Lol.. I was waiting for someone to point out the obvious.. 1 license, 1 computer.. If you want to 'legally' use the software on multiple computers then you need a secondary license.
Trust me Jim, I have gone round and round about this one. Spoke to graphtec directly after SW told me SOL and put tape over the sensor. The fine folks at Graphtec told me in no uncertain terms that the SW product is OEM and you get it cheaper for a reason and firmware fixes are NOT going to...
Grey goose becomes well vodka when you cut it with water :)
I'd love to believe you, but the facts are you do NOT get the support and updates on a Qseries that you do with a true Graphtec even if the hardware is identical. There's a known flaw in the Q100 firmware that Graphtec has fixed but...
Actually, a sucky rear sensor is a known flaw in the fc7000.
IF your cutter is a genuine graphtec and not a signwarehouse rebrand you're in luck. It's a multi-threaded approach to deal with the issue.
Genuine graphtec you can get a firmware update for your cutter that adds a 'continue' option...
I see this thinking all the time and never quite understood why people buy the super low end cheap stuff thinking it would be anywhere near as good as the more commonly priced quality. When I see stuff like that I always have to ask myself *why* would this product be 20% of the price of most...
if given the choice i'd go for an actual graphtec branded unit over a q-series. Like someone else said before, the Q series is *made* by graphtec, but not identical and gets ZERO support from graphtec. In my case there's a functional issue with the firmware of the Q-series whose Graphtec...
Problem with autotraces is that they are kinda the golden goose. neat to dream about but really not worth putting any stock in :)
I've yet to see any variant of a vector autotrace that produces a remotely usable result unless the original art has essentially zero straight lines or curves...
Seriously? Got something against reading the basics in the manual? I have a graphtec 7000 and it's pretty plain as day in the manual how to do this for newbies to the machine.
