If exporting from autocad save as a version 12 dxf file to preserve the curves. all other versions change the arcs to straight segments. One other trick is to set up a printer in autocad that uses hpgl language and save the plot file.

We use 7 with our vp-540, versaworks and Flexi 8.6 work fine but no better than on XP. Adobie products really take advantage of the extra memory and multiple cores. We are waiting for Flexi 10 now. Don't use corel.

We use glossy vinyl so we use the (ripc) pcv3 premium cast vinyl (esm) That allows the w+pass option and seems to help with banding. maybe try that one.

I think the problem is with the outline function not the lens. I also have this problem on some fonts when applying an outline, and if you change the size of the outline the problem will sometimes go away. You can try adding a stroke to the text instead of the outline also.

make sure your object has a countour cut line or it won't enable cutting options.

If you are using versaworks you can add it as a printer, then just print from any application to that printer. It will send it to versaworks then go from there. Flexi also allows you to add the production manager as a printer. I don't really do it this way much but once in a great while it comes...

Export it as an eps file, then you can control the resolution when you import it to photoshop. This will also make it transparent background in photoshop.
