  1. Convert PS Shape into Clean AI Vector

Use circle tool and pen tool in illustrator to redraw it manually. Should take less than 2 minutes. Edit; or 45 seconds :)
  2. Chrome Wrap

I think the law does not specifically outlaw chrome, but over here at least traffic laws specity that the "vehicle modifications can not present danger to others" and a full chrome wrap/car that can reflect the sun 100% into peoples eyes in traffic can be in violation with these laws. Just like...
  3. Chrome Wrap

Are these prices for real?? Because I found it for waaaay less here, and these are prices out to customer, not in to retailer: http://www.metrorestyling.com/Avery-Dennison-Conform-Chrome-Vinyl-Film-p/cwsf100843s.htm Price is about 1/3 of what is specified in the op, still way expensive but...
  4. Original artwork for chicken?

Too bad... I only pay for artwork in hamburgers. No deal.
  5. Roland GX-24 Camm-1

Maybe I worded it wrong, but to clarify my point I meant this: 1. Desktop mounting is a selling point for using it where space is an issue, and even if the tiny flimsy tray can be a cause for poor tracking over long distances, this does not matter when cutting small decals and heat transfers...
  6. Roland GX-24 Camm-1

Even though it might be a significant selling point that it is desktop suitable, that could be a dealbreaker for tiny offices using it for smaller jobs like cutting heat transfer, small decals etc. But it you are cutting 10 feet long graphics where tracking is a big issue, it is very...
  7. Roland GX-24 Camm-1

My GX-24 is about 2 years old now, and is a real workhorse for me, using it every day. Only two small issues with it, static buildup in it (solved with a spritz of antistatic spray every other month or so), and less than perfect tracking over large distances, but ONLY when used as a desktop...
  8. 5th of MAY

No reports on food and drink, but I could very well do without THIS weather on the 5th of May! Pic from earlier today. Just come home from spending the night having dinner with some friends, drove the mile home with icy windows, silly me had forgot to put the ice scrape in the car in the...
  9. I want a classy font!

Whenever people bring up classy business cards (without knowing anything about it) I always think of this movie scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Ux3vncNNLg :)
  10. Temporary Wrap over a Wrap

And just a thousand or two $ extra for the customer in order to have a week's temporary install done the way you proposed? Or are you eating the cost yourself?
  11. 3M 1080 Metallic

Wrapped my own car in 1080 matte green, very nice to work with. Just too bad that they have priced it 90% higher than Oracal 970RA over here in Norway. Other than that, no concerns about using 1080 :) I also did my roof in 1080 brushed steel, just as nice to apply as the matte 1080.
  12. Question about heat presses

Bottom line is when you are looking at maybe pressing at most 20 shirt a YEAR, or maybe none at all, this is just to offer a service to existing customers, not to make money from new ones. Question is how much are you willing to lose by doing so? $100 on a ebay press that with 99% certainty...
  13. Casket Wraps are like Giant Billboards - Uh? No?

http://muralpop.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=702 First link that came up when I googled "Casket Wraps are like Giant Billboards" :)
  14. Wrap Videos

I got these (justin pate) dvds in the mail yesterday, just got around to popping one in and have already learned a few good tips and tricks. I am very much in the learning phase of things, I have only fully wrapped halv a dozen cars, so have sooo much to learn yet. These dvds look to be a good...
  15. Question about heat presses

If the situation is pressing 10 shirts twice a year, it would (literally) take a lifetime to earn back the $2K spent on a high-end press, even if it works like a charm the 2 times a year you would use it. Where I used to work some years ago, they had a pretty hefty german made fully automated...
  16. What do you tell the guy that wants "car graphix"

No, please go on.. Because what you are saying in reality with that statement is that A: property in your community has really poor vaiue compared to Europe and B: JR could take his €2.000.000, exchange them for $2.600.000 and buy 26 homes in your community with the same money as you claim 1...
  17. What do you tell the guy that wants "car graphix"

1 million Euro is 1,3 million US $. You need to get your decimals right. Do you even know what inflation is? It has nothing to do with currency exchange.
  18. Cutting strip price (!!!)

By your own figures, you need to work less than 20 minutes to afford a cutting strip that will last you 10 years. Stripe cars for an hour, take the overhead and invest in cutting strips for the next 40 years, you would still have over $20 left.
  19. How would YOU wrap this?

Well the wrap is pretty much to protect the original Porsche paintwork, this is sttill a $120.000 car over here, and painting it in a non stock colour would no nothing good for the value. Some buy expensive sports car to baby them, wash them in the driveway for neighbors to see and pretty much...
  20. How would YOU wrap this?

Thank you :) Only reason is it green is because the owner wanted it in the classic signal green Porsche color used both on the old 911 Carrera RS 2,7 as well as the newer 911 GT3 RS like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZVaOT4bBrs&feature=related Oracals Police Green was the closest...
