  1. GX-24 Windows 7 Driver

Nevermind, I got it working now :) I followed the instructions in this link, and it works just fine, I cut a file directly from Illustrator CS5 and it worked perfectly :thankyou: :goodpost:
  2. GX-24 Windows 7 Driver

Hi Bringing up an old thread, but since I'm in the same situation as the rest there is no point in starting a new thread about it. So I got my GX-24 and my new PC delivered on the weekend, its a i7 processor running 64bit Windows 7 (ultimate), and when I connect the GX-24 to the computer with...
  3. What Can You Do?

The typography and colours on the second one looks right at home on a kitten food packaging. Trouble is, when you present that as an option to a customer that have no knowledge/background in branding/marketing, they may well just go for it. If you make a logo design halfway as a joke, and then...
  4. Possibly the sickest wrap...

Yes, not only are they just photoshopped, the illusion would only work from that one exact angle they are shown, from all other angles they would look weird. Unlike the danish bus that is both real - and cool from any angle that show the sides of the bus :thumb:
  5. Hallo from Norway!

Took delivery of the GX-24 today, now it's off to the workshop to make a custom stand/roll holder for it :thumb:
  6. Geek Wrap Squeegees

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NVRFO3DTs0&feature=player_embedded Looks like I'll be ditching my Avery magnets and squeegees soon :)
  7. Geek Wrap Squeegees

I googled and found, and they had a lot of stuff! Any recommendations for a first order from them? I'm mainly installing car graphics.
  8. Hallo from Norway!

Thanks for the warm welcome both from the US and from around the world :) Since I wrote the first post, I have ordered the most important things to get me started on my own, a Roland GX-24 and a (way overspecced) PC (think Intel i7 950i processor (3.06ghz), 6gb ram, SSD flash harddrive for OS...
  9. fire dept wouldn't put the fire out...

http://www.dagbladet.no/2010/10/06/nyheter/utenriks/usa/brann/13725684/ This is now the front page news story on the largest newspaper here in Norway, and I bet on most other countries in Europe, and yes it makes both the fire department and US laws look bad to onlookers. Most of all it seems...
  10. Banner Trimmers

http://www.link-ink.co.uk/the-imageedge-cutting-system-418-p.asp I see that it costs £159 in UK, thats about $250. I want this, I'm sending the UK distributor an email on monday to see if they can ship one to Norway. Thanks for the link guys :)
  11. How ink is made

Cool video, much nicer to watch than the "how its made" programs. But if the colours in the tubs shown from 2:18 to 2:30 are meant to be CMYK, something/link between the camera used and my monitor needs a major calibration :o
  12. Help with this logo

I thought it was a stylized rev counter or speedometer until I saw the black field behind the A and R. then it only turned into an arc with a triangle next to it. If thas is meant to be the letter e, it must only be obvious to the owner and designer. So I would agree with adress that issue...
  13. What gets you to the shop and back?

Together you were all right :) Its a VW Lupo, the shiny "pram wheels" are indeed OEM Porsche 928 wheels, imported from usa, chrome finish was a dealer option there, unlike europe where they only came painted silver. Its a 1.2 litre 3-cylinder turbo diesel engine that does about 80mpg, not the...
  14. What gets you to the shop and back?

  17. Hallo from Norway!

Hello all! This is my second time writing this intro, because I managed to hit ctrl+w instead of shift+w to make a capital W, so the tab shut and no amount of ctrl+z could bring it back! So this is the short version of the long post: I'm from Norway, 33 years old and have been in...
