I was told yesterday that our Roland VS 640 has been doing a lot of self cleanings as it prints and it filled the 500cc drain bottle in less than 2 weeks. Aside from not being told sooner I am sick to think that over a full 440 cc cartridge of ink was wasted. but what is causing it? We did a...
No we haven't tried any other primers or promoters. We spent the extra money because we were told this was the way to avoid having messing with third party primers. Not getting much on the support end. Pretty disappointed with the whole experience.
I just posted a thread on our new Roland LEF UV printer we have it so it prints primer as a promoter, but it has not been working we cant get anything to stick to a metal surface.
We have used Laser engravers for the promotional products side of our business for over 10 years, so after seeing the UV printers at some shows we decided to take the plunge and buy a Roland LEF 300 UV printer. Disappointingly the tech who set it up does not have much experience with the...
We run a Roland SP-540I and a VS-640 We have usually try to keep our print/cut length to 40" or less so we don't have vinyl banging on the floor. has anyone built a catch basket system or any other way to cut longer runs? Again this is print laminate and cutting with crop marks.
We purchased a new Baileigh WR-48V. We are just getting our feet wet but have been struggling with the cutting quality. would like to know what other users think of this machine. thanks in advance.
I agree With all above stick with Roland ink. I had a Roland rep tell me that the printer will recognize the non Roland cartridges and perform cleaning more frequently. I am not sure if that is fact or fiction, but if it is true your savings will all be going into your drain bottle.
I am running a SP-540i and a VS-640 I usually have a total of 6 sets of ink in house at the same time. 2 sets loaded in the VS Double CMYK, one set in the SP, and 3 sets on the shelf. Just wondering if there is a better/less expensive source for the Roland inks. (Not interested in 3rd party...
Still not sure myself. I was trying to lessen the distance between the crop marks so it would stay a little taunter and trip the take up but it wont go less than 4" space. I guess it is just stubborn.
OK revisiting this. My Roland rep told me to save the job as a RVW file, load the same file multiple times, highlight them all and hit print. This worked for the first 2 prints, but failed randomly after that. The registration marks printed with about 4 inches of space every time, but did not...
