It all depends on what the machine's primary function is. Is it for craft work, cutting paper and scrapbooking materials or is it for vinyl material for signs etc?
If you must buy equipment, DONT GET THE CHEAP CHINESE STUFF! Get a brand name machine like Roland, Graphtec, IOLine, Summa, Gerber etc.. Dont start off with bad equipment!
Definately stick with Fred's Clipart. I downloaded an image from clipart.com once because I couldnt find anything remotely close anywhere else and I spent a couple hours making it "vinyl cut ready"

I use Computer Associates EZ Antivirus. It is great! Its also free for 12 months. Ive been using it for 3 years now and Its excellent. Automatic updates and all.
I use the same rack Replicator does. I also have 2 small 16 roll holders mounted on the wall, one on top of the other. As for smaller 12 or 15 inch rolls they are on a table. I keep my heavier material, magnets and such on a heavy duty rack.

Thats exactly what I do Doug, Its just easier for me and it keeps everything seperated and as you said. you can bunch them together and save some material. If im doing several different colors Ill draw a square around them to make it even easier.
TVG, I read somewhere that Chevrolet has all of the text on their vehicles custom made, and its not a standard font. But who knows, I could be wrong. Good Luck
The Klik-N-Nut appears to be a small vinyl cutter that is computer driven and the Cric-Cut Is not for vinyl and, from what little I read, is not computer driven. with limited capabilities. But I could be wrong.

What kind of setup do you have on your application tape dispensor? Looks like you've modified it and made it stationary? I cant tell for sure by the pic... I have one but I find it useless. Care to share, maybe Ill drag mine out and get some use out of it finally.
When i hooked mine up it set it as COM 21, which wasnt an option in flexi. I had to go to device manager and manually pick another port. I use COM 2. Works great now, Fixed my alignment issues also. My plotter wouldnt align with the reg. marks from flexi until I put in the USB Adapter. I dont...
