Do the seam on the table. you can tape it down and preseam it in the shop. Then you have one piece to work with. That is how I would do it. In fact that is how I do both rear doors on a van. Makes it really easy to lineup. Or install the top first and seal the seam with lam or something
When you are slammed with work... And you don't know if you can take on more... And you have no artwork or measurements OR a template (a wrap in this case)... So you add 25% to the quote... Then get the job and have to figure out how the hell are you gonna get it finished in 5 days... what a...
changeable is not the same as removable. changeable means just that, you can change it easily. I use it on windows outside with no lam or with lam. In fact, I have a set of windows to go up for tomorrow laying on the table. removable means you can remove it with heat and it shouldn't leave much...
Yeah it makes sense. Personally, I would just cut it by hand. I have gotten pretty good at it over the years. If you aren't comfortable with hand cutting, there is knifeless tape that would be perfect for a job like this. Its real easy to use. lay the knife tape, lay the graphics, pull the tape...
why would you score it and then have to cut it out? That logic seems a little off. Your best bet would keep it as one piece and cut as you apply it like mentioned earlier.
Depends on what surface you are applying to. Like stated, if liquid lam it should be fine if it is a corrugated trailer or flat, simple curves. Apply as much as you can and when you get to a curve just peel off the mask and apply
instead of using ARMS and using the auto sensor to do the cuts, In flexi (or I assume any rip) you can print different cut marks. I use the 4 marks that look like crosshairs. I have to line up the laser with each mark then press OK on the computer. After I do all 4, it cuts no problem. Just...
is your firmware up to date? That fixed some of my problems. Also, I stopped using the automatic sensor and started using the 4 marks and use the laser to set them. My cuts have never been off. Sure it takes a minute longer to walk back n forth to the machine and computer but I have never, ever...
thats good. I love what I do as well. You should. I see the people that do it because they know how and need a job but step out that door when clock strikes 5... sad.
I would like it to be a 10'x20' Fabric banner for a trade show booth. One piece, if possible. It needs to have velcro but I can put that on myself. And if it can be as opaque as possible but still be like a flag type of fabric that would be awesome.
Anyone have any recommendations for a...
I recently got 3M preferred and Avery certified. Avery was a piece of cake... they say only 15% pass but 75% of the people taking the test had never touched vinyl. I can tell you I have already seen an increase in installations. A company just called me last week and I have installed over...
i know on my 260 and 360, if there was 25' and I typed in 20' of length left... It stops and says the end. On my 260, sometimes there would be 8' or more left and just stop. The 360 seems to track the material much better than previous models
