well mabe he has a low overhead that makes him able to have low prices.. and as far as 4 per sf on banners thats right around what we charge for full color we are at 3.75 per sf . when a roll of banner only cost 100 bucks for 54x 150 and using bulk at 7cents per sf . its kinda hard to justify 6...
i wouldent be concerned about that its not a bad thing if it not causing a problem.. but have you spilled and ink or solvent on the key pad? it could have a short.

i Really dont think its a good idea to constantly move the printer to shows due to the face that they are highly heavy and need to be in a controled atmosphere. there not really made to take to your regular antique roadshow.

you could go in the back and pull suction from the magenta pump line untill you get a flow of steady ink in the syringe and then it should work my black does this occasionly and thats what i do. then do a test print you should be good
that draining of the fluid means the pump is not operating correct on that channel you miht have a clump of ink in the pump flush the lines with a disway wash a couple of time and see if that helps . but a new head deff not needed .
