  1. Do you make/improve designs for customers or only take 100% ready to print files ?

Facing same problem every damn day, some cheap designer would design their stuff even logos on Photoshop and save it as low quality jpeg and png and the client proceeds to send them to me through WhatsApp which compressed everything. When i told them about the extra charge for retouch they'd say...
  2. Discussion How do you charge Vinyl letters cut with a plotter?

Hello guys, so i usually charge as a sqft when i cut letters and stuffs on vinyl, but when 1 sqft is completely filled with letters/shapes charging the same amount as 1sqft that contains a few cuts doesn't make sense. So how do you generally charge in this type of job. Im currently using...

  4. 3M MCS Warranties for Epson Printer

So, I am using S40 and yesterday i was checking 3M MCS warranty and i came to realize that the warranty given to GS3 ink for s80(excluding red, orange, metallic, white) is way longer than GS3 ink for s40 and s60. Can someone explain why, when they basically use the same ink? Is it because of the...

  8. UV flatbed

Well thanks for the info, I occasionally print indoor and short term signs for wedding, etc. But most of my jobs are for outdoor signs and the sun is pretty extreme here I'd say, so i think for now Roll to roll solvent is enough for me.
  9. UV flatbed

So I've been doing a lot of signs on ACM and Coreplast lately, I would print and laminate and then apply it to these boards. It took a bit of time to finish when orders are in bulk. How would a UV flatbed printer increase my production speed? How durable is the print? Do I have to laminate them...

I can't find the video anymore, it was on youtube. Glad to hear that solvent is better than solvent.
  16. Discussion Advantages of UV to a Solvent

Thank you all, for roll-to-roll it seems there is not much advantage over a solvent except for white ink. And also as you guys mentioned it seems the outdoor life is almost the same, I read/heard somewhere that UV inks are way superior against fading for outdoor signs, and with no experience...
