  1. Font Id Please!!

Funny, I was making something too, but it wasn't a banner!!! Chris
  2. UGHHHHH!!!! HELP Please???

Corel export filter has been doing this for years and years! Its the settings when exporting that does this IIRC, when they export as an eps or .ai file, they've checked the simulate complex filled curves or simulate outline effects, not sure which one does it. I think it also happens when...
  3. Added some LED lights to My XC-540. Can't live w/o now!

Heh, my dealer who sold me my XC540 had installed LED lighting inside before I bought it back in November! And yes, there's no way I can do anything with the lights turned off! Of course, he got me for 200 bucks as an add-on, but its okay, the money was well-spent! I'll post some pics of my...
  4. Helvetica Compact or Bold... Cant find it...

MY GOD, SHOVEL!!! Please, PLEASE (!!!!!!) change that avatar, for the life of god!!! It is repulsive and sorta scares me!!! Now I'm gonna have nightmares tonight!!! I foresee big, red lips chasing me around the shop, and I can't find enough scrap vinyl to wrap it against the wall!!! Chris
  5. Soljet - Versaworks - Greyscale issues

Can't find it now on Roland's site, but the xc540 printed green-tinted grays when it was first installed. There's a pdf file for getting grays to print gray from Versaworks properly. I have the pdf from Roland, but I don't believe we can post pdf files here. If you can't find it, email me and...
  6. blade wear shows o%

Heh, me either! I can usually tell if the blade is going by the way it weeds, as well as the "braille" it creates in corners. Then again, I just replace the blade every 4 to 6 months anyways, and keep the old blades around for cutting reflective material when those jobs come in. Blades really...
  7. What Cutters do you like?

Another Roland CX300 owner here, love it! Works like a dream, never gives me a lick of problems, two years and a mile of vinyl through it (hell, could be more, never bothered to count!) and its still going strong like the day I bought it. Used to run an old CAMM-1 back in '95-96, that thing was...
  8. The magic of Photoshop

Well, if its a thinkpad, I've got two keyboards layin' around here, they are incredibly easy to replace! Oh yeah, also have a dead Dell Inspiron that has a good keyboard in it too. Even easier to replace than the thinkpad! Chris
  9. Laminator... opinions

Well, yet another Dingbat, errr, DingTec customer here, still happy with the last one I got from my supplier! Cost me just under 2500 bucks and it works just fine, even when doing 25'+ laminations for boat/vehicle wraps. Of course, as I said in another thread about laminators, the top-o-the-line...
  10. C: Drive is full?

It could also be tmp files and other "lost" files when programs shut down unexpectedly. I use these two programs to clear all unwanted junk from my machine every day or two just to keep it running smooth. CorelDraw actually smooths out when the cache is cleared, so its worth the whole 3 seconds...
  11. plotter cutting funny

So I take it that it just needed to be oiled a bit?
  12. Font help please

Hell, ANY font can be "wide" with Corel!!!:biggrin::biggrin: Chris
  13. Any ideas on this one?

And just to add to that, I'd be willing to bet the outline was done in Corel! Looks like an outside contour when it gets too big, or an outline that hasn't had the corners set to rounded! Chris
  14. Roland CM-300 hard to weed letters

Same thing I had issues with on my CX300 when I first got it. Try an offset of 0.25, that's where mine is set right now, and I can cut down to ¼" letters with little difficulty in weeding. Chris
  15. Window Tint Cutting Software

Holy SHIDT BATMAN! Eleven grand to cut the tint? That set better include EVERY friggin' car ever made, including those that aren't even in production yet!!!! Get that Olfa out and trim it yourself, it really isn't the hardest part of tinting anyways! Learning how much you can shrink that tint...
  16. software for .stix file extension

Not a mac user, but isn't that a Stuffit file? I'm sure the mac crowd will chime in. If I'm not mistaken, Stuffit is sorta like a zip file for macs... Chris
  17. I know it....

For sure I thought this was a joke! Was gonna reply with something silly like Comic Sans! Chris
  18. Font ID Please

Hmmm, never mind. Good Times is closer than Zekton... Chris
  19. Font ID Please

Zekton, looks like its scrunched. http://www.getfreefonts.info/free_font.zekton.html
  20. Volunteers on S101 AnyOne!?!
