  4. Print head gone bad?

Hey all, Our printing suddenly became banded, streaky and splotchy on our VP-540. It's about 3.5 years old and used nearly every day, but not all day long. We have only ever used OEM inks. We ran a regular cleaning, a strong cleaning and finally did a manual cleaning - but every time we do...

  9. Customer: "Where do you get your vinyl from?"

Ask him if he goes to restaurants and asks where they buy their meat from so he can get it there too. We too just tell people that our sign supplier only sells to sign shops - which they do.

  12. PC60 - White lines in between bands

I'm not in the shop right now, but I know we have had to do a calibration adjustment to our PC-60 to close up the gap between print bands. I have the instruction sheet printed out and will look for it when I get back in the shop. Message me if you're interested in trying this out before...
  13. Will pay for phone tutor for Roland PC-60

That's not true that Roland no longer services the PC-60. I got this email from them a couple months ago regarding the PC-60/PC-600: In this time of economic uncertainty, rely on Roland to keep your equipment running in the best possible condition. Your business depends on it! Tune Up...

  19. ECO-SOL vs. SOL inks

Ok, after digging some more, I found that there is Sol, Eco-Sol, and Eco-Sol MAX. (We have only ever used MAX) I found these tidbits of info: SOL INK (CMYK+LcLm) has a unique, low-volatile chemistry that allows signmakers to print durable graphics without having to purchase special...
