I had to reload 7.0 once because of issues several years ago but aside from that I'm quite pleased with Flexi in general. 8.5 is working great for me, I'm in it all day long working with large files. I think it's an impressive program.

  7. Initial Blade down leaves nick - WHY? *PIC*

I have had this problem with certain fonts. Have you tried putting a very thin outline (don't keep original) around what you're cutting? I'm talking .01. It'll stop the blade from lifting and going back down for the entire cut on the object if that's the problem.

  16. Do you use a take up rail?

Yep, I'm nervous. I've done it running several copies of a single file. Worked well, made sure my inks were at least half full and started it early enough to watch whether the vinyl started walking or not (marker line right up to the edge of the media)

  18. Do you use a take up rail?

Good morning all, We just bought a take up rail for the 540 because we have a large job producing a series of posters for a number of locations. The posters have high res photos on them so the files are not small. My dilema is this: we want to run the printer all night, & my boss wants to run...

  20. Eco Solvant Ink Fumes?

I'm using Roland inks only. Hopefully we'll have a room for it in our next space, but my boss chose this specific printer because it doesn't need a venting system.
