  1. US Tariffs, Sigh!

It's all a ruse. Carney is playing the game as he is being coached. When the coach says get a goal, you get a goal (paraphrasing Phil Esposito)! And the goal for the Liberal Party of Canada is to win the next federal election at any cost. And to continue down the road with detrimental policies...
  2. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Looks like it's been a quiet weekend within the thread. Or is everyone pulling a PUTIN? That is to say pretending to agree to an armistice but in reality quietly preparing for another assault.
  3. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Maybe Elon should join the forum. Does he do any in-house printing?
  4. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Interesting back and forth. And for the most part family friendly language. I would think most would agree the main reason why we import from other countries is the lower cost of labour and local labour, environmental and regulatory practices. Until the US, Canada and the other G7 and G20...
  5. US Tariffs, Sigh!

A general statement, maybe. But for many businesses and consumers tariffs on goods travelling back and forth between Canada and the US have been a non-issue for nearly thirty years. So I wouldn't be surprised if for many this is a new issue not dealt with before. I spoke with a few B2B customers...
  6. US Tariffs, Sigh!

I'm thinking maybe GOOSE, Government Of Optimized Service Efficiency. Would this be an oxymoron?
  7. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Yes, but the entertainment value is up there. Regarding Gene Hackman, I think the "Hollywood Whackers" are responsible. Actually, if the recent suggestions are true this is a pretty sad affair.
  8. US Tariffs, Sigh!

OK, so things have gone off topic a bit. Everyone here will be affected by the tariffs in one way or another, both personally and in regards to business. Knowing that we may be facing commodity prices and availability among other challenges, what are some of the strategies, whether based in the...
  9. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Funny how Canada has not fessed up to the Musk connection.
  10. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Was that really the case, that in the 1800s the British and Chinese governments of the time planned the transfer of Hong Kong back to the yet to be formed CCP a century later. I believe this was a deal struck in the 1980s. I'm sure some forensic accountant with a little spare time on his or her...

Funding public education or defunding BS?
  12. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Thinking this a Y2K scenario were everyone runs out to buy toilet paper, canned goods and generators. Let's see what happens at midnight tonight, whether the world goes 'poof' or not. My biggest concern is that the emphasis of the proposed tariffs seems to ignore those that will feel the...
  13. US Tariffs, Sigh!

OK, so the off again, on again approach seems to be leaving many on edge. Hopefully sorted out before midnight on Monday.
  14. HP 365, Vinyl is Bubbling Up During Printing

Output another roll and not one issue. Must have been an odd-ball or the planets did not line-up properly that day.
  15. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Singh, hanging on until he gets his pension. As untrustworthy as Trudeau. Regarding the convoy fiasco, I say Trudeau, Freeland, et al did it on purpose. The Ottawa Police and the RCMP could easily have stopped and redirected the convoy of trucks to the fairgrounds outside the city and bus in...
  16. HP 365, Vinyl is Bubbling Up During Printing

Checked and they are from the same batch. Everything during the print process was the same. I suppose I could have interrupted the print, fed some through past the bubbling and restarted the job. Isn't hindsight a beauty? Anyway, I have a few more rolls to output but from a newer/different...
  17. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Actually voted for him the first time around as one of his promises was proportional representation. I figured it couldn't be any worse than the 'first past the post' nonsense that they yahoos get even with a minority vote. When Trudeau was asked why he went back on his word he said that he...
  18. HP 365, Vinyl is Bubbling Up During Printing

Well no, it didn't work it self out, if anything it got worse and there are a few scuffs from the print head. The stock is part of a batch that has been in our shop for about 6 months, so in a pretty consistent environment. The first roll went swimmingly. But this second roll, not so well.
  19. HP 365, Vinyl is Bubbling Up During Printing

I am printing on 3.2 vinyl and I noticed today that there are air pockets forming between the vinyl and the release liner. This doesn't seem to be affecting the printing and the bubbles are not causing any strikes or scuffing. The original curing temp is 220 F. I have knocked it back to 200F...
  20. US Tariffs, Sigh!

You neglected to mention Trudeau's admiration and respect for communist China. This guy and the people that run the Liberal Party of Canada are a stain on this country. It's treason and they should be dragged over the gunwales.
