Use vinyl that comes with the specified backing paper, if that is not an option then mask as much as you can handle and transfer to required backing by hand or with your laminator, if they are not to be masked then you may want to laminate your vinyl to the required backing paper before you...
ok and how long do you think install will take and how long to produce the graphics?.... we price by time (labor rate) & material (with mark up) and pricing by sq ft to me seems like a very unreliable way to price any thing
I use mine on my Roland a lot, it's nice if you have a few different jobs on the same material or long prints. I get more done while printing and laminating is way faster.
we did a home delivery one a few years ago and it is cut vinyl ( the backside was the color of the front) we applied as any other job and had no issues one thing i do remember is that the mask was high tack and we sprayed it down first with soapy water to aid in removal.
first off the ink is gonna fade at about the same rate on either and second your not supposed to put decals on hard hats as it can cover little cracks and what not when i used to work maintenance at the ship yard i got told by my boss for having a decal on mine osha doesn't like it.
why would we want to put it on facebook? so everyone we know or our "friends" with knows that they can see what I pay for material? I am friends on fb with a decent amount of my customers and I hope they don't see what material cost.
To those saying that branding or a good logo isn't important I hope you don't tell your customers that :banghead:.... a better logo will get more people in your door after that its up to your service, price, and/or quality of work to get them to come back.
For me I would print on air release cast and center hinge perpendicular to the graphic it would take me longer to trim in the windows than to lay the vinyl total 10-20 mins per side including getting place and taped where I want it, and I agree charge more please.
