Check this out-Fontcatalog I use fairly often... comes in pretty handy, It groups fonts by category. Pretty handy. and it is Mac native. woohoo!

We have Flexi Sign and Pro in our studio and both definately have outline and shadow effects. I'm pretty sure it is also available in the low end version. Make sure they have the "Design Central" dialog box open. It is also under the "effects" menu drop down.

Ditto on what the Doc said. I design most of my work in Illustrator on a Mac, and send to My PC for ripping and sometimes additional editing, and I've never had a problem, even with different versions of Illustrator. I have CS on the MAC and CS2 on the the PC. Hmmmm?

Baz is right about this program, the learning never stops, simply because the combinations of filters, effects and plugins is infinite. It is even more mind blowing when you start combining with other software like Illustrator, and InDesign, and Flexi, and Corel, and Maya, and Bryce and etc...

Cast vinyl...the brand of vinyl is a matter of personal preference. I like Oracal, just my opinion

BFA from The School of the Art Institute Of Chicago. Focused on Painting, Lithography and Intaglio Etching with a Little Graphic Design. Iwas pretty anti-computer in college way back in '94 :). But bought my first Mac in 96 and taught myself photoshop & illustrator and the light went on. BS'ed...
