  1. Help..is my head going bad ?

Oh! I thought you were asking a mental health question. :-) Sorry...
  2. business card layout

You've gotten some great advice and samples. 100's if not 1000's of dollars of free design advice (thanks Signs101). Design without the silly dragon and whatever the other thing is and if they demand it slap it on the back where it does't ruin your design. Try to educate the client about...
  3. A little drag racing

Shot the ADRL World Finals this weekend at the Texas Motorplex. They set a record crowd with an attendance of 1800 more than NHRA. A great weekend of racing. If you have an ADRL race coming near you next year, I highly recommend it. Always free admission for fans and great pit access.
  4. The Woes of Printing . . . [RANT]

Yep, sounds like it is not being framed correctly. It should have a mat or spacer to keep it from touching the glass and acid free mounting tape on the top edge only whichi will allow the print to stretch. Since my other job is a photographer I have done hundreds of these. When I print photos...

    That's so wrong! :ROFLMAO:
  6. New shirts

Nice. Did you do the design work?
  7. Old School Vinyl Stacking Graphics

Thanks. I hadn't really thought about that. From my personal experience I would be happy if a design lasted 6 years... I tend to want a change before the vinyl is bothered by the elements. Maybe it's just me.
  8. 86 Ford Econoline Van <<NEED HELP>>

Glad you got your answer, but I just had to say... the wrap will have more value than the van. :ROFLMAO:
  9. Old School Vinyl Stacking Graphics

I have never layered vinyl as I'm not "old school" so I have a serious question. Why would you want to layer vinyl instead of just printing the whole thing and contour cut to shape? Is it simply an equipment cost issue or is there some benefit to layered vinyl?
  10. Thought I would never have to....Font ID Please!

BadAss has it right. Rodeo Clown http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/fontmesa/rodeo-clown/ Looks like its been warped some.
  11. gym wall

Looks really nice. Did you have to use heat to get it to conform to the brick and mortar?
  12. strange things happening around my area

That happens in a lot of areas. Sometimes the city will actually do it and f/u with the owner to remove the signs and pick up their citation. Othertimes, citizens will do it to make their illegal signs useless. Some areas can get pretty trashy looking with all the illegals signs stuck on all...
  13. Helmet Wrap

First, incredible work! :notworthy: What material are you using? - Nevermind I missed the message above. Again, great work!
  14. Hemming Banners

Exactly how I do it and no problems. Make sure you use a spatula or something hard to smooth the hem down after it has been initially placed. I then set my grommets and I haven't had 1 complaint yet.
  15. Fading Ink (VJ 1204)

I had a similar issue when letting it sit too long during a trip. A little eco solvent cleaner (purchased from SignWarehouse) and letting it sit on the pad with solvent cleaner for about 20 minutes and then ran the cleaning process and started printing perfectly.
  16. Some of my work

Excellent designs and implementation all the way around.
  17. Font ID....Stumped.

Demonized and you can find it here. http://www.acidfonts.com/dfonts5.htm
  18. Contour Cut Path in Corel

Thanks guys! Great tips. I just got in tonight, so I'll have to give it a try tomorrow. You guys rock!
  19. Contour Cut Path in Corel

I'm new to drawing custom shaped contour cuts, so is there a better way to create a freehand contour cut path in Corel? In my testing I am using the freehand tool to draw a line around the object in a photo and exporting it as an ai file to use in Flexi. I'm not really happy with the...
