When I used my PC it was always IE, but now with my mac I have really used Safari as it is on my desktop. I do use Firefox as well but I seem to be ok with Safari and it has not let me down yet.
g-artist and Deposit please,
I could not agree more. If a contract is in place, which normally accompanies a deposit then wording on the contract would protect his LAYOUT that he is proposing. These is a huge difference between artwork and layout. Layout is the property of the design firm...
You are right on the money!!! I love people that read 1/2 the story and then are a expert. There is a lot more to copyright then typing letters over a pic and printing it on plastic.
The original copyright was written by George Washington but only included books, maps and charts.
In 1976 there was another law which was deemed vague and had dark areas when it came to original artwork. However in 1990 a new law was put in place to protect all original art and giving the...
Yes parts of that are very true, in fact most of it! However in this case we have NO PROOF that any of this was even his to begin with. Original work consists of you designing everything from scratch! That means no use of photos from istockphoto or other companies, you have to be the...
On another note about the little fish symbol:
These people seem to have the most troubled lives, I think that in hopes of God forgiving them or people thinking that they are religious they fly the flag of the fish. I have seen it 100% of times on contractor vehicles with the words "Handyman"...
Without a written contract binding one company to agree with him that they wanted that work done and without a deposit I don't think that he has a leg to stand on. Without paying a copyright fee there is no copywriter.
I agree this could be theft of services but I don't think so because...
quote from g-artist:
Let me inject a personal note here. As many other members have stated or alluded to, in this thread and countless other threads, Christian churches, as customers, are sleazy...plain and simple. Personally, any business that wears their religion on their sleeve (or business...
I am not saying that you are not right! I am also not saying that he doesn't have rights to his money - he does! What I am saying is if it is over $200-400 then is it really worth his time? I spent 3 years of my life chasing $7500 from the Catholic Church (they actually have money). I spent...
If you want to give the ink away and are willing to put it on pallets I have a couple of companies that will take it off your hands and pay all transportation to them.
I also would be interested in smaller equipment that you may have. I think it costs $8-10 to post in the classifieds here...
Yeah there you go do what btropical said, that will get you somewhere - jail I would guess! I am 100% with you on your side and feel for the loss of income caused by the Church but do you really want your name on court docs suing a Church? How much money are we talking $200-400? It will cost...
Well after reading only your original post, I think you kinda put yourself into that position. It is common for all of us to trust the Church but lets be real the people that run it are HUMAN! Never in a million years should you of started the design process without a written contract and a...
+1 on craigslist and for a small fee you can advertise it here as well. I am looking for some smaller screen printing things but do not have a large area to use for just screen printing.
I get all my stuff done at Cornerstone Architectural if you want to get pricing you can call Jeff at 309-208-1599, he did 20 of these frames below (not the finishes as these are test finishes). These are custom mirror frames which were routed and plowed with a rabbet from the back to set the...
Thanks for the quick responses! I passed on it not only because of the shelf life but also because the colors are more milky then the enamels. He didn't have an answer on how long he had this stuff which is never good. Even at $5 a quart for me I think it would of just been a waste of money!
Got a call today from someone that wanted to see if I wanted to buy there stock of 1shot poster paint (all new qts). They have 3 bright red and 3 black. I am use to using lettering enamel but from what I have read on Poster paint it is for making sign cards and painting on paper.
My...
