The perf is extremely thick. So super heating monomeric vinyl and bending it 180 degrees around the feed roller on an HP Latex is not going to have good results.
Printing on an eco solvent printer that’s loaded from the back eliminates all the problems.
I print perf for my customers who need it...
Try running in higher passes, say 12 pass to give it more time on the dryer. You can also do this by changing to Uni printing.
Last, put a fan in front of it to help blow it dry!

Having installed Onyx as a dealer since Version 2, I usually come up with solutions.
i have not even looked at 24 and maybe I will when it‘s up to 24.2 or 3.
If you have many to run, the easy way is to create a media size in Onyx you know the cutter can handle.
So if you create a 4x8 media size...

What are you looking to produce?
I have been replacing Mimaki and Roland printers all over the country as Grimco buys up servicing dealers and eliminates service!

Cyan is the head that goes first.
If you have grey you can use the grey head to replace the cyan head and boot into service mode and make it a 6 color printer,

If you’re producing quality you don’t print wraps on a uv printer.
You don’t get a perfectly smooth surface so laminating won’t be done well.
The results are the same as if your autobody guy didn’t sand the bodywork before painting
