Giving back to the community and whatnot...
I don't know if you guys have run into the problem in onyx where you try to use the media manager or layout tool or some such and it gives a JVM module error.
I was pulling my hair out doing all kinds of searches for this...
Is it out there?
The cowboy sells solvex at 60 inches, but this is a major job and I don't really trust its durability. Also hate splicing perf.
Or would solvex be ok? It is going to be laminated...edge seal it?
Any alternatives?
Got a Roland RS 640 with DX-4 heads...
The magenta is banding and isn't firing all nozzles...on the other hand the yellow is perfect..
I'm thinking swap the magenta with the yellow which would be less noticable...
of course flush both with fluid and change the head ranks and then align but...
We are using it with illustrator cs4 to do our contour cutting...
When I go to use it to either cut or put reg marks on something it either does nothing or spouts some gibberish error message...
What I have to do is restart illy which is a major hassle and try it again when it reloads...then...
Anyone have a device which I am still not sure what it is called that reads swatches and tells onyx 10 how to adjust for a custom profile?
There is the I1 pro etc. but they cost 2 grand...anyone have one for rent? I saw Color Munki for rent but I hear they are no good for wide format...Also it...
So we've got a new flatbed printer (gandi 1224) and of course we are running into color management issues....(I'm sure many do not feel sorry for us but,)
Normally everything is pretty straightforward and customers are not married to an exact color, but the ones that do make the process pretty...
Got our Gandi 1224! Been looking for one for months. Loaded it up and drove it home ourselves over the weekend.
Let me tell you, trying to unload 7300 pounds is Hell any way you slice it. It is surprising no one was killed, and not even a finger was pulverized..
Now the electrician says we...
On Tuesday we visited a very big (by my standards) sign shop several hours away from us. We came looking at a piece of equipment but learned a lot from their operation.
The thing that troubled me was the use of well known movie characters on their advertising...(troubled me in the fact that I...
We are going this afternoon to look at one that is still hooked up and running.
What kind of questions would you ask? What kind of testing would you do?
Is there a dipstick that I need to check etc..
If the left tire is loose it is crap...that kind of thing.
It is 6 color no white
is it...
I believe it is only 2 years old...we had to sub it out before I came here and got the solvent printer.
I'm guessing its UV printed...we were thinking about getting a UV flatbed but this is making us second guess that decision. But then again I hear UV inks are getting better and some inks...
So if you are printing a design on perforated "view through" vinyl...It seems to me that you should adjust your brightness to compensate for a tinted window...
Wouldn't you want to increase brightness because 40% of the print will be black tint? Or is this taken care of in the profile?
We've...
We've been looking into buying a flatbed and this one seems to fit the bill...what's the horrible catch and what's the most you would pay for one?
We're not looking to spend 100k for high speed new model
