Anybody know this font? Thought it was times new roman bold, but it's not. Thanks,
  2. stomp shear vs. steeltrak wall cutter

We have thought about one of those as well, I think it's called keencut evolution. But I imagine it would take a lot longer to cut down an order of 50 signs with one of those vs a stomp shear. What do you think, having seen/used both? HOw do you like the grizzly overall? I've been...
  3. stomp shear vs. steeltrak wall cutter

In the process of researching stomp shears and whether or not our shop would benefit from one. Currently we have a steeltrak wall cutter which works great for coroplast, and sintra, but doesn't leave the nicest edge on dibond. It used to cut dibond better when it was new, but even after...
  4. Most magnetic magnets?

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I think the velcro would work well. Going to suggest that to my customer.
  5. Most magnetic magnets?

I agree... However, the magnets are getting swapped out almost daily. Each machine has 12+ magnets that get swapped out, lots of machines. Decals won't work for their situation. I have suggested a magnetic board located near each machine, but that doesn't work for them either.
  6. Most magnetic magnets?

Looking for a stronger magnet material than magnum magnets 30 mil. Customer is using magnets on large machinery in a mill that shakes and vibrates a lot, magnets end up sliding around and eventually fall off. Anybody know of a stronger magnetic sheeting? We apply printed vinyl to magnets so...
  7. How to add braille to ACM signs?

They are informative signs, "north building," "resource center," etc. They also have the agency's logo at the top of the sign. Does the logo need to be translated to braille too, or just the main message? Raised lettering I'll have to look into and talk with the customer about it. These...
  8. How to add braille to ACM signs?

In the process of quoting a job for about (10) signs that need to have braille on them. The signs are 1/8" ACM, and are 4'x2' and 3'x2' signs. Customer is fine with having a "strip" of braille adhered to the signs. I have found a couple companies that can make me magnesium braille strips...

  11. Roland "Service Call 0110"

Anybody else out there willing to look at this part for me while your printer is printing? Post#12 shows a picture of the pulley bracket in question. Trying to determine if this movement is common.
  12. Roland "Service Call 0110"

How much movement are you seeing? Ours get rocking quite a bit. Does the belt on your printer ever slap parts of the head carriage causing a slap/knock sound? When we had the tech put a new bracket in a couple weeks ago, it didn't move at all. We've been running it with the little cover off...
  13. Roland "Service Call 0110"

Good idea. Probably stick with some stainless, or maybe aluminum and VHB to see if it works. 3mm acm is to thin, 6 mm is too thick. I could mill down a piece of aluminum for a nice snug fit. Anybody able to see if this bracket and pulley have any movement on their printers?

  15. Roland "Service Call 0110"

We've had both of our dealer's techs in working on this issue with the machine. I know they are trying, but they don't know the problem, or it would be fixed by now. They have also spoken with roland about it, and have been following their instructions. They say it is a very uncommon issue...

Anybody know the fonts used in this? Thanks,
  17. Roland "Service Call 0110"

Another update. Printer got much worse since last update. Was making horrible sounds, head carriage wouldn't park correctly (we had to park manually and power the machine down so it wouldn't try to clean itself) and print quality went down the tube. We finally identified the problem. It...
  18. Seiko plotter any good?

The $200 is not my concern. The amount of time I'll have to put into it and the likely hood that it's a piece of junk or needs hard to find parts is what I'm trying to determine.
  19. Seiko plotter any good?

Does anybody else have anything to say about the seiko vinyl cutters?
