I use vector and photoshop just depends on what i am doing. Mainly if customer demands photos I do it in photshop and bring in vector logos and what not as smart object.
I always design at full scale in phtoshop. Illy well it depends on how big the job is I scale it until it fits on the artboard.
if you want to be able to hang it like a picture you could try those banner ups stick them to the back on each side and put a string between them. I wont look pretty then again it mught be ok but it should work.
If you dont know banner ups are these little sticky tabs for putting on banner...
I started my company with no "sign business" experience. My parents owned there own business and I was raised in the family business NOT a sign business. So I had some or at least I thought I did knowledge on owning and running a busines. I learned real quick that I was not as business owner...
The 3m d lock velcro would work just put it on all 4 sides.
Down side d lock is expensive.
You could just put new graphics on buses after special event (unless its real often)
Not the best looking idea but you could cover vinyl graphics with transfer tape and cheap vinyl then peel off after...
I have wraped several things with the hexis materials both carbon fiber and regular colors and i have to say never had any real problems. The vinyl went down like any other air release vinyl.
But the Hexis initiall tack is real tacky thats the only real down side for me any ways.
Just a thought but I bet there is a college kid somewhere (that for little or no money just something to show in class) that could write you a program that you could upload to a secure section of your website and have them input all the info ie size, print file and substrate (make substrate easy...
I know He was denied originally and talked Fred into allowing him to join. I think he just did it for himself I mean his username is mist something and the wrap is advertising a misting company. Fred I think you should pull his accouont or make him email or fax you a copy of his business license...
I built my own a few years back after seeing this on youtube.
I think it took me a day or 2 to figure it all out and get the parts and i had maybe $100 in it total.
Worked great on my DX4 heads
Wow alot of goood info in there.
Addy as for your issue I can tell you that outsourcing will almost always make you more than in house.
You really should look at your business and consider a model change.
If you want to outsource then you need to find products and customers that are a...
To the OP. I started out with a $5000 printer if you have the work or can afford to pay for the printer and learning curve (which I assume you can as cnc stuff is not cheap) then look for a Mimaki JV3 you can find them on ebay all the time for your price range. You will need a rip (hopefully...
As Jill said there is a perf product you print to then you laminate with a double stick optically clear laminate. you can find it in the cowboys catalog around the window perf and optically clear laminates. I believe the name is Panorama as stated above.
That head maybe dead. You need to check as stated earlier that the cap and head are making a good seal if they are then try this. To test it out try filling a syringe with flush and get a piece of tubing (the size of the pump lines cut a little piece from the pump line if you have to) now put...
Tell them you need to redesign it and explain why. If they shoot you down either attempt it but be ready for hassles or turn the job down there will be another one soon.
yes there is a product for this cant remember the name but its in the cowboys catalog in the window film area. You will need a laminator if I remember corecctly.
You should be cutting just a little into the backing paper just faintlly. Personally I dont use anything other than medium or high tack especially if it has alot of detail. The low tacks were really designed for people installing contour cut printed graphics that are large or have cutouts in the...
Install it dry especially if its laminated. Do a center hinge like you would regular vinyl and use a soft edge squegee and medium to light pressure. You can pull it up if you dont go to far to get the air out. Also if you press hard the laminate will stick to the window and look weird dont freak...
