We print most everything and price it based on materials and ink plus labor and design etc....
As for charging for extra colors we still do on multi layered cut vinyl stuff but we dont do much of it and we try to sell print stuff when we need more than one color. Easier for us all the way around.
yes the 1460 will stretch in the heat so will all of them but the 1060 will do it the least.
I have and do use both 3M and the Avery supercast. I like the 3M for most stuff but the avery is nice for stuff that has crazy curves and what not.
I think the Avery is a little stretchier than the...
For that price you could get a ustech laminator you can fined them on ebay. I have had 2 and if you dont need heat I cant understand why anyone would pay $6000+ for a laminator.
But then again I have never owned one of those fance expensive laminators maybe they are worth the cost.
Well I see your getting a new PC great thats what you need for starters.
I was going to say tell the boss you need another PC and at worst case get an off the shelf one from anywhere and use the least powerful one for rip. You should see a huge difference then try to get the boss to get better...
Yes get illustrator.
You can buy the "classroom in a book" books for photoshop and Illustrator they are written by adobe and are what a lot of the colleges use for teaching. They will help you learn the basics then do some googling on tutorials and you will find lots of free stuff but learn...
no real easy way to do it. Best thing is to use inlays and trim the best you can.
I know the plasti dip will work you could try painting it with plasti dip then spray paint purple over the plasti dip not sure how long it will last. Please use automotive spray paint there is a difference.
ustech you can find them on ebay they are in Orlando Florida My 65" was $2,000 second one I have owned and as stated before if you dont need heat assist they are chaep and work great.
I run the triangle inks on a jv33 160 and we calculate it at $.32 per sqft which is what we figured after printing a very very large black area with cmyk for black.
If I had to guess average full print no white vinyl left and not printing black its around $.15 to .20 sqft avg.
Prep solvent not needed but some kind of degreaser is so alcohol 3m brand prep etc..
As for removing mirrors and handles almost never unless they really get in the way.
If the handles will be wrapped but there something that is just weird and large then we will print a small panel for the...
Subing it out would make it easier but to answer your question you can do it either way.
If you can line them all up perfectlly or real close then subtracting will be a better look and thinner graphic but overlaying is probably alot easier to line up.
Either way is ok.
sometimes crap happens if the heads are good and it fixed it self thats really the best answer.
I have seen printers for no reason do some stupid stuff then resend and never have a problem.
It could be a number of things
My guess since it was a onetime thing is that perhaps the pc and the...
Find BigFish on the forum he sells perf and it is good quality. I have used it for a few years now. You cant beat his prices.
Adhesive backed perf pretty much has to go on outside.
If you dont lam it it goes down like super air release.
If its laminated (I recomend laminating perf for...
I use one of these http://www.signwarehouse.com/p-HT-JP-VESCOM-CUTTER.html Fellers also sells one made by yellow tool it is 2 times the cost but I like both of them one on the laminator one in my install kit.
I use solvent ink but have had a similar problem but mine will print for about 3 feet.
I am not sure what is causing it but I have found that when I pull the dampner on both black lines the little pouch on the back top righ is indented and it should not be.
What i have done is prop open the...
Not sure but most cast lams say slight curves only a few extreme lams say anything else.
Look up the mil thicknes and compare it to the other lams if its the same thickness you should be able to use it like the others if its thicker then it will limit it a little.
If you know what your doing...
I have had 2 differnt US Tech laminators and they have both been great I cant really see paying 3 times as much for name brand at least not on a laminator. I also owned a cheap plotter and there is a huge difference name brand is the way to go there.
Anyways many people have asked about the 2...
Scaling makes no differance to file size.
Now We design at full scale so no worries about something not getting scaled right.
As for size if your doing wraps or other large graphics that typically are viewed from a 10' or more distance then 75 to 100 dpi in photshop at full scale is plenty...
