  1. Versacamm Pinch Roll Error

Give can me a call if you like, I can help with your parts and give you advise about installing the cable...and be SURE to UNPLUG your printer before doing ANY electrical work. I think the cable is about $20-$30 and the guides are $5-$8 each...pretty cheap. Or you can call your local Roland...
  2. SJ profiles in VP540

Sorry, the profiles are different (6 color vs 4 color). You should be getting great colors with your VP540 especially if you upgraded the firmware to get the Intelligent Pass. What profile and media are you using...this makes a HUGE difference in colors. Do you do your own specific profiles for...
  3. Any VersaWORKS 3.2.1 guinea pigs yet?

Replicator...did you lose all non-Roland profiles?? We haven't had any customer complaints or issues with the new upgrade so I'm interested what happened. Thank you!
  4. sp540v registration issue

You need to do CROP MARK adjustment. Print/Cut adjustment is only for print & cut ...not for using the registration marks. I think you will find the Crop Mark test print will be off quite a bit. The crop mark has an auto align that gets pretty close.
  5. need help with strange banding problem -vp540

I would look at the material, it appears maybe a bad run of banner. Check your profile to see it hasn't changed. What profile are you using to print the banner? What speed are you printing? Possible ink issue or bad damper on cyan. What does the test print look like? Maybe a head crash?? Let us...
  6. What should I do??

Check that your cartridge is not empty... how does your cap look, you may just need a new cap (replace both since you're there), use a syringe and draw ink from the Black/Cyan cap line...if you are getting air bubbles then it's your cap or you have an air leak...possibly a bad damper or o-ring...
  7. Questions before making a purchase

I'm not familiar with the NJ dealer, but if your local dealer is close to the price they may deal with you. With the SP model you get a one year warranty..extended warranties are available for $995/yr; the refurb model has a 6 month warranty from Roland. I would not buy a printer that the owner...
  8. Help with setting up cut after printing on SP300

Cleaning kit: Swabs (not Q-tips!) Cleaning solvent (from the cartridge...open and cut the bag inside)... and get a syringe...useful to draw ink when you may need. I hope the tech showed you how to properly clean ..ie: your weekly maintenance cleaning, etc...
  9. Roland versacamm sp300 power surge

We had a customer's printer take a HUGE power surge without a protector....$8,000 and we shipping to Roland direct ....due to replacing so many parts...like chasing your tail...you replace one new part and another blows...it was not easy at all.
  10. Roland versacamm sp300 power surge

Check on your Versaworks...Printer/Printer Status....does the Versaworks see the printer? Also, try the PECK tool...does the PECK tool see the printer...be sure to check the USB and SP series boxes. You may have blown a communication board...just thinking out loud.... Are the lights blinking on...
  11. Any VersaWORKS 3.2.1 guinea pigs yet?

Roland say's its "approximate"...take it with a grain of salt. But, it IS better than nothingm and the time to print is a great feature... change form standard to high quality and see the time and ink usage difference. Cool!
  12. Questions before making a purchase

It doesn't matter where you purchase the printer, the warranty is the same where ever the printer is located, but some dealers usually like to service "their" customers first. Remember that Roland Dealers CANNOT sell to you out of their assigned areas..for example you are out of my area to sell...
  13. Help with setting up cut after printing on SP300

Sorry RickeyJ but you are wrong- We DO upgrade many SP300 and SC540 models to the newest Versaworks, it's much easier for the end user to operate than ColorRIp. If there's anything you would like to know about Roland Printers you may PM me as well.
  14. Any VersaWORKS 3.2.1 guinea pigs yet?

The new update will give you the (aaprox) cc's of ink used for the print and the time the print will take...very cool!
  15. VP-540 slowed down??!?!?!

Also, check to see that the INK TYPE is set to EcoSol Max4 - if you use the old setting this will defiantly slow you down and offer only 4 generic profiles.
  16. Help with setting up cut after printing on SP300

You can update to the new Versaworks...much easier to run than ColorRip...better too.
  17. Hello! & Help with sp-300!

Forcing solvent through the head will not solve the issue of needing a new head...if it's bad it's bad. Sorry. FYI - heads are $895
  18. Hello, from little dallas - Oregon, with question

How about photo impact printing?? Try Roland impact printers
  19. Roland SP-540V

Remember you are only cutting through 2-3 mils of vinyl...pretty thin, no need to cut deep into your cutstrip or dull your blade more than necessary
  20. VP-540 slowed down??!?!?!

If you reset the factory defaults, first get your IP address...you will need to reinstall after you set this...and heater settings, scan interval, etc... The "rep" may have slowed the cut speed, does the printer seem to print slow?? Check your Versaworks/Printer Settings/ and see if it is set...
