Agreed. At the very least said manager should eat the loss and take it as a lesson learned. Would have saved them thousands in bad press in this thread alone.
Wondering how many of you out there have hired marketing companies and what your experience has been like?
I've got a long list of things that I'd like to do (start doing) with our company and I'm starting to think I'm way over my head. Other than having a logo that I'm more or less happy with...
Good to know, thank you. Seriously considering getting one but still torn in terms of rotary vs laser for ADA signs, lamacoids etc. I like the idea that a rotary can do it all, even if there is more cleanup etc. Laser would probably be better for tactile but won't help with braille.
Same here, but in Canada. Aside from the fact that they assembled it in their warehouse and practically threw it out of the back of a van when they got here, everything about the process was smooth.
I'd just bring your business elsewhere. Screw them. If that's the kind of "support" you can...
Any specific reason(s) for that? Was it originally purchased with the intention of using it for ADA signs? What are you currently using to produce ADA signs instead?
(Sorry, trying to figure out how to get into the ADA sign market and always curious what other companies are using)
Sorry to hear about your break-in, such a pain in the ass. Had one a few years back and took a long time to get everything resolved. Meth heads also stole the copper from our A/C units outside so that was a nice $15k insurance claim to jack up our premiums for a bit.
What kind of cameras are...
On a somewhat related note, how are those things for sitting? I know they're designed for high volume but what happens in use cases where volume is sporadic? I know logically it doesn't makes sense to get one and not push it hard everyday, just curious how UVGel compares to other technology...
Good point. Who is your target audience? What kind of work do you guys do?
Are there such restrictions in place or do you actually have free rein over that wall?
To the OP - is it with ownership that you're not getting much traction?
I've often thought about doing the same thing with our...
Love it! Did you scan / design the part yourself?
This is the only useful purpose I can think of for a 3D printer in our shop.
What does the workflow look like for something like this?
Ah yes, the classic bait and switch! Who were you guys getting it from? I've asked our suppliers about it here and they all look at me like I'm crazy. I've yet to actually see this material in real life but am definitely intrigued.
Are you running LUS200 for the White? We have LUS170 for CMYKLcLm and LUS200 for the white. (Just the way our UCJV came when we got it 5ish years ago)
I agree the white is great on these machines, I only wish it was easier to work with in Onyx. I created some custom profiles for cmyk + w...
Agreed, VW is actually amazing for a free, OEM RIP platform. Very easy to use and just works.
We transitioned from a 100% Roland/VW shop to running everything through Onyx a few years back. It is a big step and I understand the confusion/frustration, but once you get it you'll wonder why...
If it was truly 9 boards per hour that would be good value for that price, but like Rmurray321 pointed out the claimed speeds are rarely realistic.
That being said, our only flatbed is an old Oce Arizona 318gl (their entry-level offering at the time) and only runs around 4 boards per hour in...
I'm assuming they haven't. Looks like it's only been available in North America for a few months, and I don't think they get too many excited buyers when it comes to their flatbeds.
Maybe they've finally figured things out, but as far as I'm concerned up until now their flatbed UV offerings...
I know how you feel, we did enjoy our time with team Roland but I won't be going back. Roland helped us through our first 10 years of large format printing but as far as I'm concerned they've lost their way and don't have a place in our shop any more.
The Epson is MUCH faster than the Roland...
