The gateway that I bought was junk. After a day or two the sensitivity of the screen went haywire and the pen would not work on the screen anymore, even after making adjustments, etc. Wont buy another one. I won't be using it for drawing at all, just take and organize notes.

I have been looking at these things for months now and I think I might buy one. I once had a gateway tablet, but returned it because I had problems with it after a week or so. But I have been looking at the Montion Computing tablets HERE. They seem like the perfect solution for note taking...

Don't totally understand the problem that you're having, but how's the rubber strip along the cut surface? This can cause many problems if it is worn out, and is a relatively inexpensive fix (only $10-$15 I think). What is the specific problem that you are having?

maybe it's time for the upgrade. Corel uses on-screen smoothing and images look great, however, I'm a fan of Flexi because I've been working with it for so long, it's hard to switch. It just doesn't make sense to me that ver. 7.5 has font smoothing and thats it, everything else looks rough

By the way. By smoothing, I only mean the appearance on-screen, not cleaning up the paths or anything like that, only for viewing purposes on screen. Thanks!

Wondering if there is a way to smooth edges of paths in Flexi. There is a way to smooth the fonts by double clicking on the type tool, and results look great, just wondering if you can do the same for paths. Image lines always look so "hard" on screen and especially when exported in JPG form...
