Can't comment on that exact setup, but in my home shop I have a propane Reznor heater heating a 1280 SF shop with 13' ceilings. I don't run it very often now, but when we had the business in there it worked okay and was fairly economical. I don't recall exact costs, but wasn't too bad.

I bought a couple of knock-offs from Costco, been a few years, but they were only $99 each. They are not cheaply made either, quite heavy duty. Mine are "Werner" brand and I think they are the MT-17 model. They're still not much over $100 at many places.
