  3. Cloud Software - What do you use?

This whole thread just goes to show that some are FOR it and some are AGAINST it. I think the best would be to have BOTH options available so the customer can simply choose which platform they prefer, then everyone gets what they want. I can't say that the world is totally moving to...
  4. why when you use 54" does the printer say 52.5"

Cuz it can only print and/or cut in-between the pinch rollers. You can fudge a little to eek out a tad more on either side, but you will never be able to use the full width of the mat'l.
  5. POS System?

While you are looking, check out GraphixCALC Pro. While it likely does not have all of the features of Cyrious, it has proven to be a very solid solution for many shops. It is geared for the small to medium shop and offers a lot for very little. All information is yours (not cloud based) and...

  8. Quick Books...where do I start?

Yikes...$200 (per license) and $600...just for the plug-ins?! Sheesh, kinda steep me thinks. I've got that feature built in to GraphixCALC Pro, for FREE. Not to mention that FMP is $300 per license as well (unless you only need the one). If part of the reason to move to FMP is about saving...
  9. Quick Books...where do I start?

I've been using QB Pro for a few years now and after getting it set up, find it to be quite easy to use. For EOY accounting purposes, all I do is print out...yes I said PRINT OUT...the Balance Sheet and P&L Statement to give to my CPA. When we had our sign-shop in full swing, I used to have a...
  10. trax panel saw or keen cut

Don't have any personal experience on this one, but looks like it might be a contender for a lot less: http://www.panelpro.com/index.php Here is one that I did personally look into pretty hard: http://sawsystems.net/ The owner apparently worked for Sawtrax or one of the others and ended up...
  11. What Estimation/Marketing Program do you use?

Take a look at GraphixCALC Pro as it does much of what you are after, including native QuickBooks integration and fully supports network installs. It currently does not have a marketing feature, but test it out for free to see if it will meet your other needs.
  12. GraphixCALC User Survey

Thank you very much for the responses so far, it is very helpful to know what you are doing right as well as what you need to work on. I did want to relay that we have an update in the works, hope to have it out in the next couple weeks. One significant NEW FEATURE that has been requested...
  13. GraphixCALC User Survey

    * CURRENT USERS ONLY * In order to better serve YOU, our customer, I am requesting just a little bit of your time (approximately 10 minutes). Yeah, I know, surveys can kinda be a drag, but they are so important to hear what you have to say about how we are doing. It is only through candid...
  14. Estimate & other pricing software

Thanks for the plug John, much appreciated. The trial is fully functional good for 15-days from installation. GraphixCALC has no additional modules or fees (other than if you need more than the included 2 PC licenses) and QuickBooks integration is a native feature. You can use it to produce...
  15. what do you hate about your software?

One thing about Corel, though I really love it for the most part, is it can be kinda flaky sometimes when converting an outline to an object...sometimes the converted outline just "tweaks" and not ever sure why.
  16. Point of sale / accounting software.

If you are already using QuickBooks Pro, give GraphixCALC a try as it interfaces with QB, so you have a complete solution. QuickBooks provides your complete financial picture and GraphixCALC prices out your projects and tracks your jobs. Using both provides a total solution. You are welcome...
  17. Sign Pricing Guide

A possibly better alternative for you to consider is pricing software made specifically for the sign industry. Several are available, why not give them a try and see how you like them? You are welcome to try GraphixCALC Pro free for 15-days, no strings attached and no high pressure sales...I...
  18. Pricing Software

There are a few out there for you to consider. How sophisticated of a setup are you looking for? Do you want/need just pricing or do you need a complete shop management tool...or something in-between? Do you need to interface with something like QuickBooks or do you want it to be completely...
