  1. Flexi is eating my hard drives!

You don't have something setup right. I rip RGB tiff's that are 1gig no problem. Build a clean system. No crap and extra sofware. Just Win and Flexi. Create a boot partition with about 30 gigs. Create a Windows Swap partition at about 20 gigs. Create a files and temp partition with what ever you...
  2. Your Ebay Experience

"IT" sucks. I refuse to do any business with FEEBAY ever again! If you sell on Ebay I won't buy from you. I won't do PayPal either. FeeBay will suck the life ($) out of you until you can't go on. They raise fees every 6 months or more. Change the policies whnever they feel like it. Harbor known...
  3. Profiles . . . ? ? ?

If you want an exact copy just use HDCLONE. It will make an exact copy of your HD to use on your new system. I think in Flexi you can Add the ICC profiles from the settings menu. You just then point it to where the ICC file is. Dumping them into the dir with the rest of them doesn't do anything.
  4. Outlook and Hotmail contacts

Thunderbird is a nice client but lacks in features compared to Outlook. I you need Tasks and Scheduling or shared Groupware then Outlook will have to do. I'm not refering to Outlook Express. Oh make sure your using Outlook 2003. They fixed many if not all of the security problems with VB script.
  5. Outlook and Hotmail contacts

It's just a CVS file. From outlook select import then "from another file or program" -> CVS Windows -> Import map. The map will place the data in the correct fields.
  6. CNC for a small shop!!??

I'm glad to hear it's crap. I was worried that everyone would run out and buy a small CNC. You can build a better one yourself. Of course if you have the skills to build it, I'm sure you'll know how to run it.
  7. Digital Media Rack?

Most of my rolls are 54" and heavy. I took a 1x8" wide by 96 long board and routed a 2.125" circle in it spaced about 8 inches apart. Take some 2" roll cores and cut to 18" lengths. Gorila glue your tubes into the board. Now you have a verticle media stand for about $6.00 Another rack is to use...
  8. Mac vs. PC

Dual CPU MAC's are wickly fast. But, OSX is slow and has compatibility limitations. OSX is based on FreeBSD (a unix platform) with a Apple GUI. You can compile opensource linux apps to run on OSX. If you wish to run OS9 apps you'll have to launch the oS in a shell same as running Wine in a...
  9. Enlarging with photoshop

PhotoZoom Pro(spline) or check out AlienSkin Effects "Blowup". The results in PS are mediocure. bicubic is ok for a small enargement. But not 600% or more.

  11. Does anyone use linux OS

Mandrake is a great package. My choice for building work stations and servers. if you go to sourceforge.net you can find opensource projects. One of the nice things I build are JukeBox servers. Another awsome app is Ador. This is real time multi channel recording / mix studio. For FREE too. The...
  12. New Daige Quikmount4

Diage Takes some practice to get it right. I've mounted ???? 5000-6000 sq ft on mine. Still using it. Will beat the crap out it until dead to get my $1500 worth. I laminate with it too using a sled. I use a 4 x 8 sheet .25 polypropolene. Nothing sticks to it. I run 4 x 8 sheets of Omega board...
