gabagoo, To answer your last question... they are not the same. The RIP & Print dialog is actually a part of the Flexi design software and not Production Manager. What Stealth stated in regards to making changes in Default Job Properties of PM is the best method of maintaining your settings.

Fortunately, there aren't too many differences between 8.1 and 8.6 to warrant a HUUUGE learning curve. The Mimaki JV3 you own has only 2 ports on it... LPT and Firewire. The software will have no problems communicating to your output device.
